DIY Natural Mascara: All-Natural Ingredients for Bold, Beautiful Lashes!
Hey friends! 🌿✨ Want to ditch the chemicals and make your own natural mascara at home? In today’s video, I’m showing you how to create a DIY mascara using simple, natural ingredients that will give your lashes volume, nourishment, and color-all without any harmful chemicals! This easy-to-follow recipe is perfect for anyone looking for an organic beauty hack. Let’s get those bold lashes naturally!
Ingredients & Measurements:
Bentonite Clay (Multani Mitti): 1/2 teaspoon
Burned Almond Powder: 1 teaspoon (for this, we’ll burn the almonds to create a deep, rich pigment)
Vegetable Glycerin: 12 drops
Aloe Vera Gel: 1 teaspoon
Lavender Essential Oil: 5 drops (optional)
Step-by-Step Process:
Burn the Almonds:
Start by taking a single almond and securing it with a toothpick. Then, burn it gently over a flame. As it catches fire, the almond transforms into black soot, which we’ll grind down to create a natural, deep-black pigment for the mascara. (Tip: If you prefer, you can also create black soot using a diya flame on a plate.)
Grinding the Burnt Almonds:
Once the almond is burned, hand-grind it into a fine powder. This is your black pigment for the mascara. The process should give you a fine, rich black color that will make your mascara pop.
Mixing the Ingredients:
In a small bowl, mix together the Bentonite Clay (1/2 tsp) and Burned Almond Powder (1 tsp). Add the vegetable glycerin (12 drops) to bind the ingredients, followed by the aloe vera gel (1 tsp) to hydrate and nourish your lashes. If you want to add a relaxing scent, drop in 5 drops of lavender essential oil (optional).
Mix it all together until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
Adjust the Consistency:
If the mixture is too thick and not flowing smoothly, don’t hesitate to add a little more glycerin to get the perfect creamy texture.
Storage:
Once your mascara formula is ready, carefully transfer it into an empty mascara tube for easy application.
Application Tips:
Apply the mascara starting at the base of your lashes and wiggle the brush upwards for added volume.
For a more dramatic look, apply a second coat once the first one dries.
Since this mascara is made from natural ingredients, it’s gentle on your lashes and can be worn all day without irritation!

Will fresh aloe make it go bad?
What is the shelf life
Yeah.. fresh aloe vera can make it go bad faster since it contains water and is prone to bacterial growth... if you use fresh aloe vera gel, the shelf life will be around 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Shelf life????
6 months when stored in fridge
