Hey :) I have a question! not everyone talk malay is malaysia? I mean, you can't understand what's on TV in your own country? Or there is some chinese/english speaking channels?
@@LaSainteAlliance Everyone in Malaysia learns Malay in school from a young age. I'm Malaysian Chinese and I feel a lot of the people here of Chinese ethnicity may not be able to speak Malay fluent because we often speak in Mandarin with our friends. But we all understand Malay and are able to speak it to a certain extent. I myself have made an effort to learn and become fluent in Malay to be able to communicate with more of my fellow Malaysians. And yes we do have channels in English in Mandarin.

'Berjumpa' is used as 'to see' in this context instead of 'Nampak' or 'Tengok' as those are only use when you are looking at something/someone. The accurate meaning of '(Ber)jumpa' is 'to meet' and it fits with this context. If you are going for a more colloquial way of speaking, then the sentence is "Saya/Aku rasa okey sikit lepas jumpa kamu/kau/awak." In this context, the verb 'rasa' isn't conjugated, and the word 'okey' (okay) is used instead of 'baik'. Most modern malay conversations are sprinkled with non Malay words, even words such as 'but' is used in substitute for 'tetapi'. 'Sikit' is a contraction for 'sedikit' (a bit/a little) and is more commonly used in a conversation. It makes the sentence mean "I feel a bit better after seeing you". Sikit is also used as a comparative, so 'better' can both be translated as "lebih baik" and "baik sikit" or "okey sikit". It works with other adjectives too (i.e tastier = sedap sikit) but usually used positive adjectives (good, pretty, nice, etc.). Lepas is usually used as 'selepas' or 'after' and jumpa is the same as "berjumpa", it's just that these two words aren't conjugated (tidak berimbuhan).
