Not sure if anyone will have the same issue but here's a small snag I ran into. It didn't work for me the first few runs as I noticed it was in Japanese but the language would still say english. To fix it I clicked on Japanese again, repatched it and it worked. UPDATE: It just went back to Japanese after closing it and for some reason never went back to ENG, copied the google drive way of doing this too
I have fixed it. Here is what I did. Edit your .bat to mine (changing of course my user and folder location with yours) @echo off copy /y "C:\Users\Neko\Documents\Valorant\ENGLISH text\*.*" "C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Content\Paks" start "" "C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\RiotClientServices.exe" --launch-product=valorant --launch-patchline=live" timeout 6 copy /y "C:\Users\Neko\Documents\Valorant\ENGLISH text\*.*" "C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\ShooterGame\Content\Paks" Then when Riot Client appears, instead clicking play just run the .bat again without closing the Riot Client. *If it DOESN'T WORK* here is what to do: (1. Riot launcher opens after the timeout runs out -> Close the riot launcher and start the .bat/shortcut again, then either run the .bat/shortcut in administrator mode or you can try to increase the timeout. (2. The launcher says update instead of play -> Update the game, close the launcher and reopen the .bat/shortcut. (3. In the game it says a patch is available -> This sometimes happens. Just close the game and reopen the .bat/shortcut (4. The english text/voice lines don't update to Japanese -> Delete the english text files alltogether, forcing it to patch the files to japanese. Guys bat file unfortunately is not working anymore but i tried this solution and it actually works in 2023!! The only problem if you want this to happen you have to do everysteps before game everytime. That sucks i know but i like japanese so idc :) SO here is what we do First you have to do everything in video so i don't need to explain everything. 1. Open your riot client not valorant, click valorant and there has to be a play button, not update (if it is update button do it but don't press play) 2. Then you go into your paks folder and delete text files that are japanese or whatever you chose, remember only text files!. 3. Then you copy the renamed text files in your folder to paks folder then hit play in riot client. IT WORKS RELAX ^^ I hope someone can make a bat file from what i told maybe it will be easier :)

it worked! the first time i entered it said i couldn't search because there's an update (i'm guessing it glitched) so i just opened the riot launcher, updated it, clicked on the the new valorant we made and it worked fine after. thank you sm
When I tried, it just removed all voice audio for every character, anyone know how to fix this? Sometimes, it says a new patch is required, then the text is changed back to Japanese but the Japanese audio is there.
UPDATE For some reason, i follow ALL the steps in this video, it cant work, BUT, if i follow the steps ONLY to 3:57, not all the way to the end, it works, for some reason. So just simplified it
Update: Kinda weird that at first, the text didnt change to english, so i exit, boot it up again, and it works! Apparently, every time i want to play Valo, in order for the text to work, i have to start the game, exit, then start it again, this is kinda annoying, but its still works, sooooo, yea

It works! I just need to change the timeout set to a higher number, because I have a potato laptop. My Valorant launcher will open more than 10 seconds. So, I changed it to like 15 seconds. Great work!

Ayye, thanks m8, it WORKED! At first, i've done everything, then i boot up the client, and i saw the "Update" box flashing, i know something went wrong, so i restarted my PC... VOILÀ Also, if u guys dont want to right click => Run as adminstrator every time u boot up the game, just right click the shortcut => Properties => "Shortcut" tab => Advanced... => Tick on the "Run as adminstrator".
