- In this video I compare the Microsoft Surface Go and the Microsoft Surface Go 2 to see how much of an improvement the second generation is.
Keep in mind there are two different processors for the second generation Go, the Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y, and the more powerful Intel Core m3-8100Y. I only test the latter.
The 1st gen Surface Go has been discontinued, but here are a couple links for the Go 2.

I am planning on doing one when the Go 3 comes out, but I'll have to see when I can afford it when it does.
Sorry, you mentioned cost as an issued for the high-end config like your Go 2. I'm hoping you can borrow a Go 3 in October or later this year, and confirm that your Go 2 is really still pretty good for your and most people's needs. It would be nice to see exactly what changed and by how much for the high-end config (kind of like you did here). This is especially true for those of us that bought Go 2s early and now need another mobile PC.
Im planning on using a couple of 28W solar panels as my main power supply when bikepacking, so i need something power efficient. This makes the "Surface Go 2" seem much better than a laptop. The small size and weight also makes it ideal for hiking - and i dont need anything more powerful than the "Surface Go 2" anyway.
They’re great devices even the original surface
It fits in my mid-sized purse. Any bigger and it wouldn't. I've loved it. Unfortunately, my Surface Go stopped turning on this week. Time to upgrade. Hope my keyboard will work on the Go 2.
Your keyboard will work on both the Go 2 and Go 3. I'm currently working on a video comparing the three current versions of the Go and can confirm that both regular and Alcantara versions of the keyboard work on any Surface Go.
appreciate the in depth comparison, the only thing stopping me from upgrading to the Surface Go 2 is the lack of a Thunderbolt3 port
hopefully they add that feature on the next version of the device
i love the GOs , BUt I think it should just keep the price low, and cos I just use it for RDP ... The software windows RDP to remote windows RDP server is the best compare with ios, macos, android ... I would get another go 1 at original price, but not the crazy go 4 price now a day :(

Silly question, what’s the difference with the Surface Go 2 and the Surface Go 2 lte version, or are they same thing?

It isn't worthy this money with such a low specs. Better to buy used surface pro 5/6/7 with i5 processor with much better everything then Surface GO. It could be really something if it had at least i3/i5 with a price around 500$-600$ with keyboard and pen included. Also spare your eyes, because with such small screen and using as a laptop on a table far from you, it would not make anything good to your health. It's not an 10 inch iPad when you look at it close to your face as a mobile phone.
