You are 100% correct! Annie Drews is well loved in Japan not only due to her superior volleyball skills (brought JT Marvelous to 2 consecutive championships) but also as a person - she's a Christian.

I pray while supporting you so that your dedication and enthusiasm will be fruitful.
I realized that it was a spectacular match in which the unique Japanese techniques
and tactics of coach Nakata and coach Aihara were seen as a form.
After watching this game, I remembered the black-and-white TV screen with rough
and cluttered scanning lines that I saw at a high school gym 57 years ago.
I've always cheered on her since Director Nakata made her debut at the age of 15.
I will continue to support her so that she can achieve the goal she said, "
To be a team that will remain in history."
I hope the all-Japan women's volleyball team will be crowned.
Japan is smart. Just like Russia (when they played against Brazil), they know they will lose this game anyway so might as well rest key players. But dang, Japan still rocked USA. It wasn't an easy win.
lol, that's not true. the libero,middle blockers and the hitters that played on that match was Japan's most experienced and strongest players in their roster, only the setter is the newcomer.
@@theparamountparamount913 their main setter, Aki and Koga isn't playing. those are key players for the last matches where they won in most.

@studythrough thealarm those sets could've gone either way. Volleyball game is affected by a lot of things. Not just how "smart" you are.
Rocked they did NOT get. The power of how the American women were hitting the ball, sorry to say, but the Japanese players were getting knocked over like bowling pins!
I Told you...those who were expecting a game like the last time were so much disappointed. USA improved a lot in all aspects of the game, even their blocking, service and 2nd row receiving, perfect!

Japan is awesome when it comes to floor defense. But their still need height for their offense.

The eagerness in Hayashi play after so long she in the bench is just so awesome. Yuki Ishi received is the big problem here. I prefer Koga and Ishikawa more. Its pity that Ishikawa is short. Height is an advantage in Volleyball.
Ishii's receive these year is 👎, unlike in 2019
@@allenmmugler Ishiis service reception in 2019 was already unstable. I remember watching Japan vs Korea in World Cup 2019 and Korea's winning point was a service ace from Ishii's poor reception.

was excited to see drews vs kobata and momi but!! still a really good game for japan!!
Japan knew exactly what they’re doing since the beginning of this match. Not putting their best hitter and their deceptive setter in the line up because no matter what happened, the result will be the same as expected. USA team are given tall but more agile and defensive in the last years. It’s still a good thing for Japan, resting Koga and Momii for their remaining matches. Still rooting for Nippon to be in the Semi-Finals! Ganbatte Nippon! Win or lose, I’ll always be a fan! ❤️
Although japan lost to usa, but im amazed about how they deliver "persistent efforts" and i realize, this is japan.

USA is (in my opinion) top favorite team for the gold medal at the olympics. They have the serve, attack, block, defence, passion and the spirit. A complete package. The only thing that is missing is a top scorer who you can always count on when things aren’t looking good in terms of attack. This was also their biggest handicap at the 2016 olympics. Japan won’t be able to do that much with this attack performance tho.

waiting for usa turkey match tomorrow , some american players played in the turkish league so Guidetti and the players are familiar with their plays , maybe it can be a little advantage for us...or not :)) usa is the favourite for sure,i'm not hopeful for a win but we are an inconsistent team which means we may make a surprise :)

Me too, hope it will be a 5 set. But for me, China is the only team can beat USA.
I am also thinking about what Guidetti will do tomorrow. Guidetti had been criticized a lot because of his choices in previous matches but I believe in him as he has experience. Additionally, I think that Guidetti didn't want to tire good players like Ebrar due to the USA match. He thought like, "I can keep good ones away, other players can also win matches," but it didn't happen like that. That is why our team was unstable. The bad ones are really bad like Meryem in VNL. I hope we will start with Eda, Ebrar, Hande, and Simge tomorrow. I know our chance to win is low but they will resist against the USA.
2:02 I love seeing JWO set Drews! She's solid on defense, but also has those out of system setting skills from her time as a setter on her high school team!

Best two teams by far. We'll see them at the final again. But without floor defense, Japan is nothing. So Momi, Kobata, Koga are vital until the young ones learn how it is done.

I love team USA,a great team in my heart.
USA has perfected the endurance in mega rallies which Japan has the upper hand. This is what coach Kiraly wanted to have his team possess. Other teams do not have this Asian endurance. This is the reason why USA is dominating VNL women's.
I can see that Japan lost just bcz of their disadvantageous height.

Height does really matter. Close to winning for my dear Japanese team but USA was just way better in all aspects in this game. Kodus still to Japan for putting up a good fight.

I feel that Japan should learn to use more strength in attacks, having good defense is great but it's no use when you don't know how to use strength in a counter attack

Two thoughts from this match: Robinson is just too good at the game. I mean every aspect she contributes in. So much talent.
And Poulter is not consistent enough. Too many missed connections or transitions lost. When her and Drews are on. Its lights out though. Need to get the middles and that pipe working for her to lead this team.

It feels like Japan's defense is just as amazing as ever it's just that they dont have enough height for a stronger offense along with a lack of strong backrow attacks. Hopefully they find a solution because their cover game is phenomenal.
