@@sleepwalker29 Mclaren is pretty good about the warranty. They will honor it even if you track the car as long as you take it to them to be inspected for issues regularly. I think maybe some more high end manufacturers are doing that now but they are the only one I know about for sure.

But I know you said you want to develop your own parts and stage kits, so making a catless downpipe and maybe even tuning on better gas you should see a solid 440hp with just bolt ons. Can't wait to see which route you go with.
There’s a lot more to the car than just downpipe and turbos. 550 whp is great and I bet it pulls but on track that puts a lot of stress on the cooling system to keep up. Mindlessly chasing HP should not be the goal of a track car, but rather perfecting the overall balance between grip, weight, suspension, and power and more

Got mine on Monday. I'm going the opposite way. I have a 96 Celica GT4 which I mod. The Supra will stay stock as a Launch Edition classic. For road use the car is already fast enough.

Try removing them fake vents. Cut them out with a Dremmel tool if they won't pop out. But I would remove the whole front nose and remove vent covers. You are tracking it, and can overheat. I could cut them hood vents out, cut, weld, paint or whatever to make them function. You got a good welder who made your exhaust. Them fake vents got to go. The ones in the front nose and rear bumper cover look like the easiest to remove.
I was expecting a bit more than 70 but it's not so bad for such minor things, more to come. These seats are heavy as fuck! Would it be allowed to cut the trunk tub and bumper cut or they would see it it as a flat floor?!
If you are going full weight reduction, take the AC out, windscreen washer bottles etc, All carpet etc, sound deadening (dry ice treatment) etc lt's a shame to do it to a brand new car though.

Doing these because they’re mostly “free” upgrades. You don’t have to pay a cent to drop about 50 lbs off the car. Also, aftermarket seat bases are not available for the car currently

A new car loses value no matter what. 95% of cars are liabilities and not investments. He bought his Supra for track purposes, I'm pretty sure maintaining its value wasnt even on the priority list. When you buy your own 55k Supra you can use it as a commuter for 50k miles. After 4 years of rarely using that Supra what it's meant for, I want you to look at its monetary value and you will most likely be at like a 25k dollar loss. So ask yourself who gained more value from the car you or Jackie?

Not all the interior. I only took out the trunk panels which is free in the Gridlife rulebook. Roll bar, I’m still considering

In BMW the muffler is a part of the rear aero. You should consider putting a flat bottom to mitigate the bumper acting like a parachute.

Unsprung mass will have to mostly come from the brakes which we plan on upgrading later...
Remove wipers and washer fluid too. Nice easy weight savings though, 75 pounds is a good chunk.

Put in the 11lb lithium battery in place of the factory 64lb battery. Factory seats weigh 50 a piece. Steering wheel, cf hood, lighter wheels, etc

I heard of issues with removing the mufflers cuz of the valve
We checked before removing the muffler, taking the valve plug off did not result in anything at all
