Beautiful DB satchel. I love the natural color but opted for navy instead. I fold in top flap so the handles are easier to grab. You’re right about the weight but it’s such a beauty that I just deal with it. Ha! Thanks for sharing. Congrats on your new baby.
I’ve had my regular DB Florentine satchel in natural for about 3 years. It’s my FAVORITE!!!! It has patina’d beautifully. I love to hold it by the handles and to wear it as a shoulder bag. You’re right. You can’t put it in the crook of your arm, but I’m not usually the type to wear my bags that way. Love this bag and loved seeing your review.
I love my Dooney bags.. that fold over style would bug me personally so I opted for other in the Florentine leather .. but I LOVE them over my higher end bags the quality is just so so good!
I had purchased the same in the navy color. I also did the strap the same way since I alternate shoulder and top handle carrying styles and personally love the look of the longer strap hanging on the side. Sadly, as you said, the bag is HEAVY!! I ended up not keeping it, but miss it still!!
I bought the medium bag which is like a large. Got it on eBay chocolate for $200.00! Must be new or brand new because the leather smells wonderful. I LOVE this bag and I am so happy I was able to get it in a great color at a great price.
The way you connected the long strap is so unusual and I love it. What a perfect bag. The color is divine. I used to be drawn to the black but the natural ages better over time. Thanks so much for this video.
I have this bag and it is beautiful, but when you're out shopping and carrying it on your arm, it's not very easy to get into this bag. It needs a back large pocket.
I have had 4 of these bags in different colors and have noticed that the florentine leather on this bag varies. The florentine leather is suppose to be smooth...not pebbled so watch for that. The other thing I've noticed is that depending on where you get it from, some of the florentine leathers are thicker than others. I've had both. One of mine was very thin leather compared to the others so watch for that!

I had this satchel in the small size in natural and I sold it a couple years ago for a lot of the same reasons you mentioned in your video. But I regret it so much! I wish I had kept it because it’s just so stunning and such good quality. I just bought another one in pale blue but this video makes me want another in natural too 😄
Gurl I have the same bag and it is still beautiful. I have had it for years now. It does have weight to it, however my boys are definitely all grown up so its just hubby and myself . This is a great bag. I reach for this more than my LV. ;-). Anyway, congrats on your baby!!!

I did have the large version when it was available back in 2014 ish and it was way too big, and I may have kept it had I known how to adjust the strap to make it a shoulder bag because the crossbody length even on my 5'6 avg frame was hitting me at between my knee and mid-thigh and it was very annoying. The leather was amazing and the bag was gorgeous.
So glad to see this because I'm trying to decide between the small and the medium, it's so hard to decide. I'm worried the medium will look like an overnight bag but I have a Coach satchel that's the same size as the small & I don't need two bags the same size. Arggg, what to doooo???

Love this! Just bought one off Depop Australia NZ$147 (US$100 shipped) and it’s so slouchy that it falls into itself so doesn’t look as big as what it really is, gorgeous leather and still has the Florentine smell, patina and some marks but I love it! I leave the zip open and fold the flap into/on top of each other, and double up straps, much more functional. Has been my unicorn bag for years 😍🇳🇿 PS: kids are grown and don’t carry a lot so not heavy at all 👍🏻

I love the flap! I rarely zip it up and have never had anything fall out and it makes getting items easy.
