Hi john you do a great job on your you tube video new york fire department been busy this week you be safe out there see you on the next one rick fitts from New Hampshire i was a firefighter for the town of candia new hampshire
The throwbacks are great idea for the rare day all you have is a steam pipe under the street or a compactor. It would be nice if you included the month and year of original fire. Watching your videos help keep my blood pressure down when I get my insurance bill.. I fill sorry for all the people who do not know about or the sense to get renters insurance. It is bad enough to lose all you own but to not get any money to replace things is worse. My brother owns two duplexes, at the bottom of the rental agrreement his lawyer added a paragraph reminding them that the owner has insurance on the building, they need to get renters insurance, even if you do not own a lot then the insurance would be cheaper. He then lists the top ten companies from an artical in the paper. a couple years ago when a 36 unit apt burned to the ground. Of the 36 people and families only 5 had insurance.. If their car had not been close to building, the Red Cross gave out blankets and sandwiches and they slept I their cars. A bus came to take people to a homeless shelter but you could not bring your pets or smell of alcohol. No I do sell insurance, I am an elementary teacher and 4 of my students had lived in the burned down building. They came to school in there pajamas and smelling of smoke. We made the next day wear your PJ's to school and bring any extra clothes you do not wear. The principal shortened two classes so they could shower and wash their hair. About 5 moms came in and helped sort the clothes, at the end of day they had clean clothes to wear. And other parents had brought in boxes of food.
Great video mate, feel for those guys in the cold and snow, (watched without sound as I was multi tasking) watch again later, stay safe mate and keep as warm as you can, Thanks for enduring the cold for us..... getting a ride home? where is the Squad 99?
Once again great coverage of an oldie I think I remember this one there have been so many can’t remember 😂😂 38:56 great job by the members and TL-13 did some heavy damage love how they can take that fight to the red devil and push him back 2N2 my friend 40:41
Oh gosh, in the back, you can see the flames through the stairs. So sad to see. I think if I was in any of the adjacent buildings I would be leaving with family, pets and important stuff, just in case. Do you think it is because people are trying to stay warm. And not being real cautious? God bless all the people living in this and the surrounding buildings. Also bless all members and, of course, you John. This has been a very busy couple of days. ❤❤🚒🚒❤❤
Sorry I am a bit confused By "Throwback Series" and how recent this fire is. Nevertheless, what a great video and so sad to se one of thes beautiful NYC buildings go up. It appears that FDNY went to outside ops fairly quickly, but looking atnthe video, probably the right call. Thanks JJ for filming during the weather coditions. Was a 3rd Alarm the right call? Seems like the exposures were not threatened so probably ok.
Thank you for braving the bad weather for us to be able to see the best video available JJ you are the best! --- Debbie
Great Throwback!

Holy hades! What an inferno. Nice throwback JJ.

Big fan of the throwback idea! Would love to see the longer footage of some of your shorter edits if you have the files still. 😊

Oh gee! Look at the snow coming down now!
John you need to carry a survival pack with energy bars, water and extra hand coverings on these long fires.
FYI all this was Jan. 11, 2021
Thank you, was just gonna ask 😊
it was March 14, 2017. Original: th-cam.com/video/O-dgnChCh8w/w-d-xo.html
JJ too bad you could not get to the rear, it sure looked like ALOT OF FIRE!!
Great video nonetheless
Is Div. 3 now the Chief of Dept. Esposito?
ECC opening up the deck gun!!!! See that more and more and more and more now in 2025. I wonder why?
Can you show the date of the incidents in the title?
New York never sleeps
They don't dare, lest a catastrophe could happen, it seems. 😔❤
gwiz a fire every day in new york
Not that conditions are ever great but tryn to maneuver over frozen ground & hoses looks awful.
If your working your keeping warm, standing around your cold as heck.
Here we go again No use of the bucket , quick ladders up for what. With zero water being applied
Throwback series? I assume this is an older video?
What is all that trilling noise?
This wasn't last year we didn't have a blizzard, maybe '21
A throwback? When did this actually happen? Great video though..
March 14, 2017
@ thanks
This keeps up this winter, Ny will lose a big part of its buildings.
There is old buildings in New York
Yes
why do fire companys aways put up a ladder with the red tip on end and does nothing
Emergency escape
Maybe in case there is anyone on the roof, they can see the red sticking up for a possible exit, or the edge of the roof. Maybe?
