In an old interview in French, Moebius explained that the name Arzach (or Harzack) is a reference to his art school "Les Arts Appliqués". The students used to call it "Arts App". The pronunciation is "Arzap". He just changed the last letter. Métal Hurlant was a huge phenomenon in France, and in Europe, from the start.
Fantastic. Kelsey kept joking about Jose Ortiz, but he was the most prolific of all the Warren artists and an incredible master of ink technique, able to work a wide range of genres. The whole group of "Spanish Invasion" artists that appeared in Creepy, Eerie, Vampirella, etc. would be worth a Sunday or two. Perhaps you could get digital access to the recently released "Masters of Spanish Comic Book Art" book that Dynamite published.
