The virus is Sombra's downfall. They overpowered her with burst damage and it was a terrible move. They didn't realize good Sombra players would hit the virus every single time and it melts people before they have a chance to even respond. When you can't fight back it's the worst feeling in gaming. Now they're trying to put the genie back in the lamp with this rework and it's going to be painful for all of us. Buff her and he's oppressive again, nerf her and she's unplayable.
Personally i think they should remove the audio ques from destealth and translocator not much of a sneaky character when i gotta tell the enemy team where im at every 5 secs.
Make stealth its own cool down again. Put it on a 13 second cooldown. Keep stealth at 5 second duration. Even if you have to TP right out of stealth. Your cool downs should be about the same for both. Giving her a more consistent cycle with a better flow. Sneak in with attack, translocate out.
That was my first complain after playing the rework, her translocator should be available after 5seconds since she can only be invisible for 5 seconds. It was a pain playing her with 7 secs cooldown. 😢

spilo made a VERY in depth video on why they nerfed her/why the nerf sucks, put short her playstyle was way too toxic for the game at first and now shes just absolute garbage

Even if it were 5 seconds, the translocator wouldn't change anything because what really matters is that every 5 seconds the Sombr says it came out of invisibility
i mean you know why they nerfed her right? who got the mythic skin this season? who’s widows biggest counter besides tanks? they do this shit all the time. when a character comes out or when a new skin comes out they buff a character or nerf their counters. it’s unhealthy.
they didn't nerf her they reworked her, also people were non-stop complaining about sombra in season 12 make sense they nerfed her + widow is still countered by sombra

They'll never make her overpowered again like she's been the last six months. She had no counters, burst damage and endless stealth is impossible to stop.
My ideal sombra changes: Give sombra 250hp Remove opportunist passive Make stealth its own cooldown (lasts 6ish seconds on 8ish second cooldown-few seconds longer than stealth lasts) Make virus do 40 impact damage 35DOT, also make virus have a 1-1.5s hack effect. Make virus hitbox slightly smaller but move faster. Virus also applies opportunist passive for 20-25% damage. Give it 7s cooldown Translocator on a 7s cooldown Increase sombras damage fall of range to about 20m, tighten the spread on her gun, decrease ammo to 50 It would make sombra a character who can hold sightlines, annoy tanks, and assasinate backlines but only one at a time and ties her kit to a skill shot to get value

Honestly, as a sombra main I actually liked this rebalance but the buff makes it so much better
And I was wondering why it seemed smoother yesterday, I didn’t even notice they changed it.
I kinda like that they buffed the translocator uptime instead of reducing the vulnerability of invis, more mobility will always be more fun

She needs a health buff and half of her invisibility cooldown reduce when she decloaks.

No they should make her same as she was in ow but invs cooldown 2 sec long and invis 10 sec last
they should make it so 1.) translocator cooldown resets after emp 2.) detection radius is 2 meters not 4 and 3.) throwing translocator reloads weapon
