- I was talking to a friend who had some questions about how things worked on the new model as they have reorganized a lot of things. I'm an obsessive manual reader and over-thinker so I usually have these things down quickly, so I thought maybe it would be a helpful idea to make a quick video on it.
Please note this is NOT an "amazing new features of the Digitakt 2" video as I didn't go into many of the new features that make it a great upgrade, it is merely meant for people who are confused for how to do some basic things if you were previously familiar with the Digitakt 1, which is a fairly large number of people I think!
Anyways hope it's helpful, leave a comment if you have any other questions, I'm sure I'll be making plenty more videos in the future on this machine.

Haha yes true! I'd love to do something like that but it takes a lot more time and this was just a quick thing I thought to put together. Maybe one day I can! In the meantime if you haven't seen it, True Cuckoo did a very long video tutorial for beginners which is quite good 👍

Does anyone know whether we can now use aftertouch/mod wheel from an external controller (such as the keystep) via the digitakt to control external synth? On my DT1 I can use my keysteps mod wheel or keyboard aftertouch, i can only modulate these parameters via the knobs on the DT. thanks :)
I can't test this myself as I don't have any gear for it, but in general I don't think this would work unless you're using midi thru and thereby not using the Digitakt for controlling at all. But I can't say for sure, so hopefully someone else that can test for you can chime in.

Glad it was helpful! For your question, they are still in their own folder. It's in Factory, Oscillators, Single Cycles 👍
strangely i can't fing how to loop page like you since i do not have green bouton lighted 9 10 11 12... when i press and hold PAGE while rec mode.
9 10 11 12 do not light at all.
something i miss or maybe it doesn't work when we are in PER PATTERN mode
My guess is you need to update? The page loop function came with a day one update so make sure that's installed. Otherwise there should be no problem 🤔
no metronome shortcut? thats annoying. at least they kept the quantize shortcut. i hate the digitone quantize hidden menu function
Yeah I agree, quantize needs a shortcut and glad it's still there. A shame about the metronome, but it's still pretty fast and honestly usually I turn it on at most once when starting a jam until a basic beat is laid down, so I don't miss it too much.

@@Zabrozna Yeah of course, the shortcut is gone though which is what they were talking about. But I personally don't miss it because it's fast enough to turn it on in the tempo menu.
