Even though the history is obviously depressing, the meaning of a diamond ring has changed a lot. I don't think we should still judge it from that perspective anymore. Before this video, I didn't even know what it used to mean in the past. I'm sure many others don't know this too. And they just go for the diamond for aesthetic reason or materialistic reason or something similar. And if we are to judge something because of it's bad history or origin, I'm sure there are more important things than diamonds to worry about. And if you're truly concerned about child labor, just buy a lab grown one, that's a little cheaper as well.

But i think you can do even better in you start a seperate hindi channel also for the hindi speaking audience. The people who speak and understand hindi are much more then english speakers in India and to get a reach in the rural north India it would be a really good idea as this region is kind of orthodox and likes women as 'sati savitri' !

In India much more than diamond ring gold rings are famous and widely used for engagement ceremonies...
But in most of the Hindu engagements, the couple exchanges rings, not only the girl gets it. And sometimes (if their family is modern enough) they purchase the rings together. And is generally a gold ring with or without diamond.

I love diamonds and I have bought them a lot on my own.. but it’s stupid to attach ur spousal relation with it . If u love ur hubby it doesn’t matter if it’s diamond or silver ring. At end of the day ur relation and understanding matters and not people who will judge u with the size of diamond karat.

But i think you can do even better in you start a seperate hindi channel also for the hindi speaking audience. The people who speak and understand hindi are much more then english speakers in India and to get a reach in the rural north India it would be a really good idea as this region is kind of orthodox and likes women as 'sati savitri' !
