The first 3 seasons of tbbt are awesome. When it gained so much mainstream popularity it became shit. IT crowd and tbbt are not even comparable. They were both made for completely different crowd. I do love the IT crowd more but I do have a place in my heart for tbbt

For me british is always funny or at least i can see the joke, most of american comedy shows though are terrible and not funny at all, uk humour is just better (I'm not from uk)

Big Bang Theory sold out to attract the mainstream audience, the first few season were pretty decent but yeah it sold out and turned completely shit.
