I decided to go stealth camping on a "forgotten" island in Thailand, just off the coast of Kho Samui. The island was split in 2 and is an absolute paradise! There were people partying on the island, but they left at around midnight! I came across some interesting animals and the craziest one would have to be the 2m long Goanna spotted during the morning expedition. Luckily I was not harassed by boats and was able to set up my hammock in a pretty sick location! I got to witness an amazing sunset and sunrise from the island.

Did I see you put your gear on the ground right beside a giant fire ant mound? That’s crazy. You’re like an Aussie Aquaman. You should easily make it into top 5, I would think. Another great adventure. Be careful, dude. 🙏❤️.
Cheers mate, lol, yes I thought it was a rock and then later realised it was home to millions of red ants! The 2m goanna was pretty freaky, looked like a bloody dinasour!

This one the rip current caught me by surprise and gave me a bit of a scare. When I left the island the current made for a long swim back to the mainland.
You are hilarious lmfao 🤣 love the quips and jokes and characters and how chill and casual you are. Glad you joined the challenge, I had to skip it since here in the desert water is only a myth (nah I was just busy and didn't get to my spot lol). Hope to see you join lots more!
The downside to living in a desert! Fun fact I remember years ago going surfing crazy waves in the attacama desert, arica chile. Was wierd place. I was more chilled out this one for sure, maybe ive done too many island camps and I'm getting too comfortable. Thanks for the support dude!

Hi Lezley! Was easy swim at the start, then got very hectic! Pipi is amazing, been there before, but it is totally overcrowded now... like even more than before. So I skipped Pipi this time, would have been awesome to camp on James Bond Island, but its all protected there now.
Another excellent video. You have convinced me that swimming to camps is the way to go. Private island? Yes please. I know what I want to be doing at 65. Can't wait for next instalment.
Cheers skipper! Damn, I was hoping this would convince people not to swim! That current was hectic. If you go in a kayak, it can also be a stealthy option. You just need to hide it nicely.. on this island , plenty of places to hide the kayak. But kayak on a rocky island and it's impossible to hide the kayak. So swimming is best for stealthy arrival, but not best for sudden unexpected currents! Yep, Bertus leading the charge at 65!
@@rangatrips when you mention stealth canoeing , I'm imagining the scene from pirates of the Caribbean where the pirates are walking under the water with the canoe upside down on their heads for air.
