7:23 Couldnt have said it better myself. Ive always thought this, and it has been a genuine struggle to remain positive while out in the field, but without a doubt my best work has been when I am calm, and grateful that I am able to see all these beautiful birds in action.
Absolutely superb. Great video work and commentary. You're easy on the ears! Was totally absorbed in watching those beautiful badgers. The barn owl was fantastic too. I can't wait for the rain to stop, the warm weather to arrive, and the chance to get out in my local area with my camera again after seeing this!
Great stuff Simon! Excellent photography and filming as usual 😎👊🏻 How about Buzzards would love to see them filmed. I have 3 here in a valley just outside Tunbridge Wells, majestic things indeed …
Just a case of sitting and waiting. Camo, for me, has its uses but I like to allow the subject to get used to me being in open view and obviously offering no threat. I’m also at distance so full 600mm+ with crop so I’m not infringing on their environment. Feels more natural to me than getting too close in camouflage. It’s a total rush when it all comes together tho ❤️📷
@@SimonMcCabe Well I totally agree. In my experience this dosen't work unless you regularly show up over a long period if time. Unfortunately I don't have that time.
A beautiful piece of work Simon. Evocative, relaxing and inspiring at the same time.
Thanks Robert much appreciated. Plenty more to come hopefully. 😎

It’s not all about the end result - enjoy the journey ❤️😎

Wonderful. Barn owl and a Badger family. What more could you want, superbly filmed, of course. Pondering a used S 7 now, darn you!
Top notch bit of film making
A very immersive experience watching this, great storytelling, fantastic footage & some very wise words to end with. Fantastic stuff Simon
Beautiful filming and very inspirational for someone like me, looking to do more video rather than photography alone. 👏👏👏

Thank you 😍
Beautiful film Simon ❤
This is really nicely done. Simple, but shows that you don't need millions of dollars of equipment and crews to make a wildlife documentary.
Hallo I love your wonderful footage! I hope to reach your level in natural video making
You can do it!

Yes allways a Plan B :)
Really great videography here. Could you really film everything without camouflage?
