No wonder this mans eyes are so beautiful and full of glee no matter his facial expressions or the topic he is speaking on just like how children’s eyes look because he still sees things the way a child would I love to hear him speak ❤️❤️
@@spiko-ou3bp It was an English in Action trip with my school, can't remember the venue sadly! However our school went into the wrong room and walked into a brexit party meeting 😂
John Agard and I knew each other well back in Guyana, where he was born. I was quite disturbed, however, when he spoke of Guyanese Grace Nichols as being from the Caribbean, and not from Guyana. He then went on to speak of Guyanese Eddy Grant as being, also, from "the Caribbean." And I sat and wondered ... and I watched and wondered. WHY WAS THIS? Is it because Guyana as a nation has shown no respect and continues to show no respect for writers ... poets ... playwrights ... artists? Is it because the Granger Government has banned the Guyana Prize for Literature and the University of Guyana Caribbean Award for Literature? Is it by design that John Agard, a native son of Guyana, has sidelined his country because it betrayed and continues to betray its creative sons and daughters? If it is, I understand, but I won't do it; I won't.
