Here's another idea for you. Install a fake kill switch on / off electrical switch in an obvious and easy to spot location. The fake kill switch is wired to a latching relay that locks on sirens inside and outside the car. The sirens are connected to an independent battery. Then when the criminal tries to disable your push button kill switch, which is really controlled by the wireless remote, the criminal actives very loud sirens that can't be shut off with a key switch. The criminal would then be punished with the extremely loud sirens inside and outside the car, and the criminal would have to run away. However, you'd have to make sure that you of your passengers never touch the fake kill switch electrical on / off switch!

This video was real helpful. Local mobile audio shop tried to convince me that this inexpensive kill switch will set off different computer codes, lights and emojis. Just so they can sell me one that was separate and not integrated with the factory system for $700. Your tutorial was explained with simplicity. Mine should be arriving from Amazon tomorrow. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yea man don’t let these shops drain your pockets. It’s been a few months with the kill switch on my vehicle and still no issues for me. Definitely keep your vehicle protected with some kind of security. 💯💪🏾🔥
I’m a HellCat girl and I worry about this when she is parked somewhere. Even though I have AirTag and a steering wheel lock club. I’m definitely going to do this too. Thank you for taking the time to carefully walk us through on the details of the install.

I worry about my HCRE being stolen. I have locks on all my lugs, alarm, Car Cat Creations plug & play kill switch, The Club wheel and Brake pedal locks and XM Guardian
lesson #1 always come prepared with the proper tools. #2. never cut the black wire and red wire at the same time. other than that these kill switches work great. simple install.
Do you know what color to cut on fords and Nissan cars.?

Why not do it from the fuse box?
I ordered this for my car and tested it using a power impact battery and a multimeter. It works as designed cutting or sending power with a click of a button.
This problem that I came to think about is these are being sold all over Amazon and it is very inexpensive. It is made more like a tool for accessories to turn on and off.
I believe all these switches have the same frequency. If somebody orders the same or similar kit they might be able to just turn it on and off when they walk up to your car.
If these thieves are figuring out how to duplicate a factory security system I am sure they will get around this 30 dollar part but just buying the same kit and having a remote on them when they walk up to the car.
I was going to install to my car but not sure if I want investment that time to having a nice net job just for it to bypassed so easy.

What happens if you press the off button on the kill switch while the engine is running? Will the engine stop?
I’ve done it plenty of time with the keys in my pocket but nothing happens if it’s on the OFF position while the car is on or driving it just won’t allow you to turn off the car until you put it back to the ON position. 💪🏾👍🏾
Hey bro, have your thoughts/review of this switch changed at all in the year you’ve had it installed? My scat was stolen last night. Thankfully I was able to track it and it’s been recovered. I’m looking into getting a switch installed. Been debating if I should do this inexpensive diy route or get potentially scammed/overcharged by an audio store. I’ve seen reviews on Amazon stating they’ve had issues with this after a week or few months. So was just curious of your experience being that this video is a year old. @CaliStreetsCarsMods
Mann I’m sorry to hear that my guy we can’t have anything nice with ppl out here trying to steal what we got and work hard for. But yea so far with the kill switch on my car I have had 0 problems except for the first time install and blowing the fuse but nothing serious since install. Like you said you can go the inexpensive route like this and install it yourself and have a extra line of security or you can step it up with a different kind of kill switch that your more comfortable with. I have recently installed a kill switch on my homie car with adding car lock also and it definitely has given him a peace of mind!

I figured that when you were cutting the red and black wire together I figured it was gonna blow a fuse. If you didn’t disconnect the battery then you didn’t mention that you disconnected the battery, so I said oop

Alright so I did everything correctly and now my ignition won’t start..changed fuse 3 times ..everything connected properly even before I did it unplugged battery ..did everything correct and now it won’t work even when I take off the switch and connect it regularly …fuse 33 again changed multiple times ..now my car won’t start.. keys not working …car lights come on and the shifter lights up ..help
I’m sorry to hear that. That is really crazy because I have also installed one on my buddy car and I seen other ppl use this same one with no problem.
How do i disconnect the battery
Well for the Dodge Charger the battery is in the trunk and all you need is a wrench and just loosen the small bolt on the negative terminal and pull off the terminal from the battery. Make sure you don’t close the trunk.
question lets say you no longer want to use a kill switch after maybe a month of it , is it possible to remove it and get the car back to normal or is it just kill switch or nothing forever after cutting the wire
We’ll from my experience when I cut the wires the first time then my fuse blew I re wired the same wires with electrical tape and replaced the fuse and my vehicle started up as normal so I think it’s possible but make sure you disconnect the battery before any wiring.

It’s good that the fuse blows out in case the thief tries to disconnect the kill switch… just annoying to install it

I love this video! It gave me some light in owning a Dodge. Could you please tell me whats better a remote kill switch or a physical one hidden in the glove box
I believe a remote kill switch is best just because if someone that breaks into your car and stumbles onto to hidden physical one in your glove box gives them a chance to now steal the car. Now a remote kill switch depending on the brand and features will have better security for your vehicle. There’s plenty of different kill switches on the market just find which one works for you. This one i installed on my vehicle just an extra line of security.

Disconnect the battery from the trunk.
How far does that reach if some one was to steal my?
So here’s what I think. If someone was to break into your car and you have your kill switch activate so no power running to the push start button. And they find this same set up and rip it out I’m sure your car wouldn’t start because they would most likely blow the fuse because they would need to first disconnect the battery before they could rip out the kill switch and then wire back the push start wires back together. It’s at least an hours process if they were to do it that way. And someone looking to steal your car unless they really want it wouldn’t risk all that time. And if you want the kill switch to go further back to hide it better you would just need to order more red and black electrical wires for your positive and negative.

I live in Atlanta someone stole my v6 while at the gym on Sunday … 35 mins on the treadmill … went back outside shit was gone , thank god for my AirTag

That’s good you got it back definitely having some kind of tracking system is a must have. I as well have added a few different tracking systems to my car just in case one fails I have a back up.
I was told by a mechanic at an auto car alarm shop that this device runs constantly to your battery. That if you don’t drive daily it can leave you with a dead battery. Is that a daily drive for you? Has anyone tried this?
We’ll I haven’t run into with any issues with the kill switch the car has sit for multiple days in the past and no issue with a dead battery. But for the most part I do daily drive the vehicle it really only sits when I have multiple days off from work but still no issues.

@@CaliStreetsCarsModsI had wired through the ignition fuse. It just cut off while I was goin down the road. Lost all power. Engine brakes steering everything. I could hit the button on the switch manually but it wouldn’t toggle by remote anymore. If I wasn’t on a straight road I’d have been n bad trouble
@randy_the_scientologist why wire it through the ignition fuse? Like you see in my video mine is wire through the push start button.

@@randy_the_scientologist Ya thats not smart, ignition switch is the way to go. If the switch is turned on when driving it just wont let you turn off the car, You'll be able to pull over anywhere and fix it.
