What year is your car and what year uconnect did you put in ?

I have a 2016 scat charger and I wanna buy a 2018+ for the apple car play what do you recommend the easiest route

You can find a compatible 8.4 Uconnect on eBay, offer up and FB marketplace you will definitely save money going that route unless you want one from the dealership I think the Uconnect from the dealer start off anywhere from 1k

Yes you would still have SRT pages. But it wont be like the upgraded radios. I recommend getting a radio 2018 and up so you can have the upgraded one!

@@J.cuevas215 Dodge came out with a Uconnect upgraded starting in 2018-to now. Like if you’ve seen my current radio is the upgraded one! So basically anything like 2011-2018 have to older version Uconnect.

@@J.cuevas215No didn’t need to change the media hub. Uconnect was direct plug and play.

@@jonathanbarros9948 Well not sure on fuse tap location but my previous installer he just spliced the ac controls power to connect it.

@@ijamorris Yo can look it up by part number but you would need to make sure they match up with a challenger any year should be fine just contact your local dealer. But usually all them are the same from charger, challenger, Chrysler, jeep and Durango. I would just look for any 8.4 Uconnect 2018 or newer because those are the newer upgraded screens Dodge started producing in 2018. I would just look on eBay or fb marketplace. I also found mine on offer up and it came from a 2018 Dodge ram!

@@freddybilo3780 it’s a simple plug and play if your staying OEM radio so if your looking to swap to the 8.4 it’s a easy swap and yes I also have the z-automotive tazer and it is really useful if your looking to unlock SRT pages and performance pages and a lot more! Check out my other videos on my channel I also did the tazer install with going over menu features!

@@CaliStreetsCarsMods i seen the other videos to learn how to use the tazer z. Your other’s video helped me a lot . Next gold is to upgrade my screen and I don’t want to deal with dealership when i can do it myself .

You don’t need the tazer to change the screen you only need it for the performance pages if you don’t already have em

Not really sure on the telematics module but from what I’ve seen on TH-cam and my experience swapping out my Uconnect it was a direct plug and play! Everything works from Xm radio, car play, back up camera and etc also not sure what u mean by beats? But again it should be direct plug and play especially using an OEM radio! Here another thing my old radio didn’t have the navigation option and my new radio came with navigation so now I have an onboard navigation fully functioning!! Hopefully this information helps you!!

@@CaliStreetsCarsMods my car came with the beats audio system. But the thing is the telematics module that controls my uconnect gave out and my uconnect wont work anymore due to that. So i was thinking of any possible way i can switch the radio to a radio that already comes with uconnect without needing the telematics module to work. The dam telematics module is like 6 something so that in like a year or two gives out again and being stuck paying another 640. So thats why im asking if its just better to purchase a new radio screen that already comes with the uconnect.

Im trying to get the ported one for my 3.6 but i keep seeing reviews that tune is required even though they state tuning is not required. Seen mixed reviews people saying that without the tune it does not run or respond right

@ Yea it just really depends on your vehicle, I also was concerned about the same thing but I just said let’s see if it works for me. You can always purchase it and test it out and if it gives you problems just switch back to the stock one until you get a tune.

I’m not 100% sure at one point mine was working while driving but now the option doesn’t show up anymore. And I think it only worked because it came from a dodge ram and it had that option when I first plugged it in but now it doesn’t show up after syncing up to the car.

How long has it been since you installed it? You might want to give it a few days it most likely will register!!

I got the rear diffuser with the front and rear bumpers for 1k. It’s basically a wide body diffuser!

Now 8m trying to install it. The release behind the start button is hell. My hands are too big to pull

@garyanderson4787 yes it is one thing you can try is to pull off the panel that sits under the steering wheel and once that’s off you can reach in and grip it better. Also look into on TH-cam how to swap the push start button because there is a way to actually pop out the push start button and that would give you a lot more clearance!

Actually $400 for the intake and $50 for install. But nothing wrong with spending on an OEM intake from the dealership with a carb legal sticker instead of buying an aftermarket one ima have to swap out every time I get a smog.

Gain 3 horse power.😅

220 hp is to the wheel! It comes 292 hp from the factory but that’s at the crankshaft! I got it dyno like the first year I got it before I started mods it was 220hp

It crossed my mind but the wide body route I would have to get new rims and tires plus I’m not really down to cut into my car. If I did go wide body I would go with the lions kit.

@@CaliStreetsCarsMods every other video on TH-cam is the old el wire and the installs are trash running wires through the door jams and just overall not clean looking. Great install!.

You are exactly correct that is what the dealership also mentioned that they are only made for 2011-2018 but they’re using the same engine so my 2019 is still compatible with the MOPAR cold air intake.

For my experience on my car I didn’t tune it yet. But it is a good to tune it because the computer doesn’t know it’s 180 thermostat until you tune it.

Mann I’m sorry to hear that my guy we can’t have anything nice with ppl out here trying to steal what we got and work hard for. But yea so far with the kill switch on my car I have had 0 problems except for the first time install and blowing the fuse but nothing serious since install. Like you said you can go the inexpensive route like this and install it yourself and have a extra line of security or you can step it up with a different kind of kill switch that your more comfortable with. I have recently installed a kill switch on my homie car with adding car lock also and it definitely has given him a peace of mind!
