How wonderful! My English Nana used to put little table gifts out for Christmas Dinner here in Ontario Canada and last year I decided to bring back the tradition as she sadly passed away in 2008. Everyone loved the idea and my sister joined me in planning and wrapping the little surprises! Just when you think all of the gifts have been opened you get one more!
Beautiful. Just another money saving tip... You can also use a box of plain white or cream candles.. melt slowly in a pan - I use a little copper sauce pan just for this, (also add all the ends of candle that you don't know what to do with and haven't used to light the fire) and take out the wicks. Let the wicks solidify straight. push the end of the wick into a button (which goes into the bottom of your container); cut a piece of cereal packet into an oblong shape to fit over your chosen container. Push the wick into a small hole in the middle of the cardboard so that your wick is now centred and supported over your container. You can then colour your molten wax with a small candle/s if you want, and scent the wax with essential oils or the remains of a favourite scented candle or boogie. Let set and then remove your cardboard scaffold.
How awesome this is! I was in ICU out cold when this was played last December. I had watched them all prior to Dec 16th when I entered the hospital. Sooo blessed to be able to catch up this way!
I absolutely loved this episode! The gifts of the Magi were chosen for their spiritual symbolism about Jesus Himself-gold representing His kingship, frankincense a symbol of His priestly role, and myrrh a prefiguring of His death for our sins and His resurrection. Ultimately the Magi gifts signify reconciliation of mankind to God through Christ, His son!
I'm so happy I waited to watch these. I was recommended to Michael's channel in April then he recommended Stephanie's which by then was May, I believe so it was a long hard wait but so worth it.
Sitting here making advent calendars and Christmas gifts while watching. I have watched every Christmas season since they were first premiered in 2019.
I love doing table gifts myself 🎀🌟 and as you've said before Stephanie, "more is more"🎄🎁. Those candles are absolutely beautiful. The love is in the detail 💛 gold, frankincense & myrrh - so special & symbolic 🌟. Beautiful Blessings Mandy 👑SA
What a wonderful idea is that and beautifully done ! My how well you did that gold leaf mine goes everywhere and just very difficult ! I love Myrrh it is so subtle and a beautiful perfume , years ago before all the candles you could buy rings that one placed on light bulbs and then drops of Myrrh and Amber together was wonderful, the heat of the bulb sent out the perfume and they lasted forever ! Wish one could still buy them. But yours looked absolutely beautiful ! you talented pair x love hearing the laughter x enjoying this treat.
I love that idea of making the candles, they will look beautiful at each place setting and the smell will be wonderful...I might have to steal that idea.....till tomorrow..............Donna in Toronto
Dear Stephanie and Michael, what an amazingly beautiful, creative and thoughtful gift. You make the most wonderful things for your LaLande Family! I love the scent of Frankensence and Myhrr. The gold leaf is so lovely. I'm afraid of the thermal shock breaking the crystal if the entire wax becomes liquid and the flame is low to the cup base...anyway, another beautiful Christmas gift. Plus bises 💗❣️🐾🦔🐾❣️💗
So I love all of you who participated in the progress of the Chateau. It is my dream to own a chateau also. I am waiting to hear back from you about the photography photo shoot workshop. I sent an email but I know it’s Holiday Season so I will be patient. I watched your episode on the Ghost of the Chateau and the way I found you and very resistant in watching you and every time I would go back on TH-cam there you would be. So I finally started watching you and I fell in love with you and the whole crew. So it makes me think after watching the Ghost of the Chateau I believe your Ghost is leadings me to you. We are remarkably similar in so many ways and also different t in others. However our gifts and talents makes me know we will meet and I will help you with the many different possibilities that are to come in your beautiful Chateau and I am very excited for the moment to arrive. Excited because we will learn so much from each other and all of our creative talent put together will amaze us all. Looking forward to meeting everyone!!!!
Those are beatutiful in every way! I love the authenticity of it - that you even put some real gold in them! What a symbolic gift to give your friends and family! We are going to try this too! Thanks for sharing both your creativity with us!
Great idea! I've planned to make a batch of organic gold, frankincense and myrrh face and body butter for extra gifts this year. We should combine ideas and invent the world famous Three Kings pamper hamper! :-D
I never did the hamper but the moisturising butter turned out really lush, and this year I made a cologne and a candle with the same blend for my own vlog on this channel if you want to sneak a peek 😋 Thanks Sarah! (Sorry for replying from a different account, it gets a bit confusing for me too 😆)
The reason the three wise men brought Gold....was for the Kingship of Jesus and the Mryhh and Frankincense where used in the emabalming and burial process especially of royal kings and queens. So the gifts acknowledge that they understood the importance of this tiny baby....although in reality Jesus was probably nearly a year old by the time they actually arrived.
Several years later I am watching this vlog and Wow! So incredible, love these candles, just gorgeous!

Wow! You two need your own craft show for television. You're both camera ready. I can't wait to make these.

So very exotic and opulent. I would love to receive a gift like these candles 🕯
