    Great information 👍
    Im going for H and reasonably quiet turbo mufflers on my street driving car.
    You are correct: race cars are for racing.

    To anyone on the fence, let me just say, his stuff is amazing. The quality is top notch and the sound is awesome as well. Made me love driving my car again, it sounds so good. The communication was great as well. Very easy process overall. Made my quickest pass to date after installing this exhaust.

    this is a great video. im surprised at the minimal difference because i would have thought the X-pipe would have better flow, at least more than the dyno suggests. question. any benefit to crossover if the crossover is not equal length on each side? what i mean is that routing dual exhaust on 80s bronco i fabbed up for shorty headers are roughly equal length on each side but the drivers side crosses in between the bellhousing and C6 pan and the passenger side cross over to the drivers side aft of the transfer case. both have glass packs behind the transfer case and in front of the rear axle and the exhaust exits behind rear tires. so the pipes actually run near each other on the passenger side for the length of the valve body and transfer case and it would be easy to create a crossover there. but because the driver side bank has run a farther distance at that point the crossover wouldnt be the same distance in each exhaust, having to travel longer on driver side than passenger.

    • @9858Racer
      @9858Racer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Here’s the thing, there IS an optimal length from the primaries to locate an X.
      It’s based on the calculated wave/harmonic.
      There’s also a “less than desirable” location based on the same.
      As long as you can keep it in the desirable range you’re good.

    Did you just change the crossover type using otherthe same exhaust system? Ir did you have 3 different systems each designed fornthe crossover type it is to be used with?

    • @9858Racer
      @9858Racer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The “System” was just the addition of mufflers.
      The same headers were used for each test.
      The same small mufflers were used for each test.
      I did not design new headers for each mid pipe. Even if I had the time, I still wouldn’t do that.
      In my opinion, headers are the primary exhaust system, and are built as such.
      Everything behind the headers is the secondary exhaust system.
      This was a test of secondary exhaust systems.

      You want some sort of crossover. The scavenging effect is important. True dual exhaust setups are dumb unless you have a very high horsepower car with high compression or boosted.

      @@copisetic1104 why are race cars driving around your village at night?
      These are RACE CAR parts, for competition vehicles.
      If race cars are driving around you waking up your children you shouldn’t have bought a house near a race track.
      If that’s not the case, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
