This turned out great!! Really appreciate you doing a tear-down too. Pretty confident this can be converted to a 2-seater at some point (for Mezco-scale at least)
Thank you! And I’d check out the link in my description of another channel making a even crazier custom Batmobile I believe he has plans on making it a two seater as well!
Great video! Thanks for showing us how you did it, esp. the masking on the canopy. When I think of the Batmobile I often think of the press photos and posters. It wasn't truly black in those prints. The paint definitely had a personality, almost a waxy green, and your finished canopy nails that. Great job-- I'll be proud if mine turns out half as good.
Exactly I’m actually completely satisfied with it. People have been telling me it’s still grey not black but I actually liked the color it turned out. Looks way better in person like I keep telling people. Only thing I would do different is maybe try satin clear instead of matte but overall still better than the stock paint job Thanks for watching !
Never thought to just add clear matte spray to the Batmobile without any actual paint. But that might also be why the canopy is still slightly off color. Either way this is a great & inspiring job! I’m customizing mine as well. I’d recommend getting some mirror chrome & gun metal Gundam markers for any added detail. They work great on plastic.
Yea it’s still slightly off on camera and I have a ring light to the side that makes it more obvious but in person it looks perfect, I’ve seen people literally just paint it black with a paint brush and the same cheap black paint I used earlier, at the time it seemed too simple but it actually looks better than the black matte spray I used. Thanks for watching ! 👌🏽

Yea it does still look grey on camera especially with the extra lightning I have during the video but looks perfect in person under normal light. I said in couple parts of the video that the canopy does not look as bad under normal lights. In the beginning it looks super light gray under the bright white light haha 😂 thanks for watching !
alright how do you turn the lights on and off? to get the headlights brighter use white leds since you used yellows lenses or if the led kit you bought didn't have white then swap out the yellow lenses for clear and spray some of that matte clear on the back to defuse the light a little but make sure the white leds if you do swap them out don't have a blue tint with those yellow lenses or they'll light up green! since you didn't paint the whole car with the canopy you should've painted the canopy a gloss black first then it would've matched the alot better when you matte coated the whole car!
Thank you for the tips ! I will be re doing the headlights and yes it did include white led’s in the kit I’m going to try those out and follow your tips someone else recommended diffusing the lights as well something I never thought of doing ! I was just gonna add more yellow led lights and make a better harness for them.
And for turning off the lights for now I do have to pick up shell and manually turn it off . It only takes a few seconds so it’ll do for now. I’m going to be re wiring the headlights like I said and adding a led to the after burner to light up the flame effect I have. So once that’s started I’m going to be adding a external switch for the lights. I’m hoping there’s actually like a type of bluetooth switch I can wire in which would be a dream to have. I know from the start it was gonna be a half ass custom reason why the title has “custom” in quotation marks 😂
Right now yes it only takes a few seconds. I plan on fixing the front lights and adding a light to the after burner for the fire effect I’m gonna re wire and add a external switch under one of the 2 grills above the after burner for easy access.
No problem man and I hope I didn’t absolutely butcher your name ! 😅 Can’t wait for your finished product man, I know it’s gonna be the best custom Batmobile out there 👌🏽
Yes you are correct the shell comes over super easy only takes a few seconds to take off and turn off the lights. I planned to have a way of turning off the lights by removing one of the 2 small back grills above the after burner cutting out a small hole so you can switch the lights on and off and place the grill back on. I decided against it for now until I get a proper hot knife for cutting through the plastic . I’m also going to be adding a led for the after burner itself as well and detachable flame effect.
And since the headlights did not come out the way I wanted them (not bright enough compared to the taillights) I’m going to be finding another brighter light and re wiring the front. So after that I will be adding a external switch for the lights to turn on and off without removing the shell. I plan on adding guns and the missing gas caps as well, that’s the reason why I tittled this video “custom” cause it’s not fully customized to the max just yet.
Everything does come off including the exhaust tips in the rear and the silver exhaust parts on both sides of the car. I just didn’t want to customize those so I left them on
great Custom!! I had a question, Do you have to seal after the matte for the canopy. and also, do you think black satin will work the same? any info would help! customizing mine as we speak.
The matte spray is also a clear sealer. I personally used matte black paint for the cannopy and then used the matte clear sealer. I honestly would’ve preferred to use satin black or just plain gloss black and then hit it with the matte clear sealer after ! I think satin would look way better !

@@Collect2Disconnect I came across another toker who did modify the canopy to resemble the way it ought to; t'was 👍. Also, did you know the '89 batmobile was sprayed in a matte purple hue? Look into that, and you will realize the car is actually purple! I was shocked when I found that out
Wow I did not know that ! It does have a funky finish would love to see that on this Batmobile
Great Job, new subscriber right here 🙋🏻♂️
Thank you and welcome 🙏🏼 💯
I decided to pass on this because of the canopy, customizing it never even crossed my mind. Now can't find it anywhere!
Just finished your video and hadn't heard that they were going to be rereleasing, I'll have to jump on that
@@LivingLambeaux yessir also if the 89 Batmobile Combo is real I will be giving away my extra Batmobile as my next giveaway!
Cool.
Thanks.
I got, got too
👌🏽
I'm gonna do this on the McFarland Batman TAS Batmobile with satin black and paint the inside cause it's too bland that blue on top bugs me.
At least it came with lights! I also picked up the animated Batmobile from target few weeks ago still have yet to open it
@Collect2Disconnect it's good just too plain on the interior. They keep cel shading everything!
We gotta talk about the light kit You used
Literally chose the first option that popped up on Amazon for the lights haha I spent more time looking for which matte clear spray i should buy haha
Dude can you do some commissions... Please 🙏🏻😂
I’m actually getting a second Batmobile in. It was delayed indefinitely from Amazon originally and now says it’s shipped. Might customize that one as well slightly different, and giveaway the one I like the least 😅. Was planning on giving one of my 2 Batmobile’s away anyway if the rumored 89 Keaton and Batmobile combo is true !
I'm here for it ma man 😂🤘🏻 I hope you'll hate one of em so we can be blessed with it
@@qb-dp haha I’ll keep you posted and I’m sure there’s people who take actual commissions for customs on this Batmobile already I remember seeing another channel modify the spin master batwing few weeks ago and he was selling those bad boys I imagine he’s moved on to Batmobile’s now too
WAAAW NICE LEGENDS COLLECTIBLE KEATAON MOBILE
Turned awesome but I don't get why everyone paints the vehicle matte black the vehicle was in fact flat black you can see it on the images from the little video you added and also look at the hot toys and the iron studios you can get the color reference in there the only batman to have matte black vehicles is Bale, ass kickin job though
Yea I honestly do still like how it came out, but I think I would rather have preferred to use a satin spray instead of matte. Ultimately just wanted to get rid of the gloss. It was a dust and fingerprint magnet, the thing had static electricity all over from the start. I have cats and their hair was all over within the first day 😅😂
☑️ SUBSCRIBED!!! 🤩🤩🤩
💿💿
Hey man trying to get in touch with you about being on the podcast, I thought you had IG but it doesn't look like it.
I’m hitting you back right now on email T3 !
Dude i think a drmmel tool would of done the trick instead of the other shit man im gonna do this with mine
Couldn’t find my dremel I ended up using the soldering iron which helped a lot
@@Collect2Disconnect hell ya i still gotta try to do mine when i get sometime off lol
@@kevinthorn9672 haha tell me about it man started a new job the same week the Batmobile got delivered. Between filming and editing this custom and video coulda been done in 2 days instead of 10 😂
ME GUSTA.🤩
Mucho gracias 🙏🏼
You got a booger
It’s actually left over cocaine
Bro this is so dope...thumbs-up 🔥 I have to send my Batmobile to you for this dope mod...really looks awesome..ps..don't worry about the cursing in the vid..it's the expression what makes it so damn good...Parental advisory clowns 😂
Haha thanks for watching and commenting !! Means a ton those comments really had me scratching my head I don’t personally think I curse to much. Must be they aren’t used to it since most channels are monetized and they can’t curse lol 😂
No no and no what's wrong with the
Face the batcycle wowcher but the batman face a joke 😂😂😂😂
Now you should fix the shape of the canopy, it's unsightly
The link in the description of another channel doing a custom Batmobile is fixing the canopy and it does take a lot of work to do, but that would make this thing look so sick

That's just not the black it deserves. Great video though.
Thanks man and yea it didn’t deserve the stock paint job it originally came with either,I’m happy with it looks good on the shelf
Its inaccurate because it supposed to be a two seater
Yes at the end of the day this would never be fully accurate to any movie. So I’m just making it to my liking basically. Also the silver gas caps are missing which I totally forgot to address haha

The damn thing is sold out everywhere 🖕
I’ll be giving a Batmobile away if the rumored 89 Keaton with Batmobile 2 pack is real!
@@Collect2Disconnect "rumored" lol 😆
Didn’t you just say that’s how it might look in the movie? Then you said you don’t know why it looks like that?
Haha probably, I contradict myself a lot in this video and in general. The voiceover was done in randomly in multiple parts and days. Repeated myself a ton too😅
Your way to young to swear so much.
Momma raised a potty mouth 😂
oh for fuck sake! :)
@@scottmcclary594 chill Scott I assume you’re not at the recommended age of 45 to be swearing on the internet!!
@@Collect2Disconnect gettin close!
You’re lol
I actually like your job, but due to your constant cursing it's difficult to share specially with my kids.
This was pretty light compared to my other videos haha, but thanks for watching 🙏🏽 I apologize my videos aren’t kid friendly !
I’ve only made one single video that has no swearing 👌🏽
@@Collect2Disconnect you know what they say about ppl that have to swear to get their message across? They’re too stupid to use words, so Instead they cuss. But you do you.
@@masonj4779you know what they say about people who still abbreviate words like they are 12 years old? Ur 2 dum lolz
La verdad está bien culero 😅
The canopy is still grey...
Judging by the exhaust paintjob, you are by no means a professional as you say, that's for sure.
Yea the action figure and 1/12 vehicle customizing college course for professional verification was all booked this month sadly so I just winged it 🤕
