Microwaving with the thin cooking film is extremely dangerous, especially while the rice paper is on it. My recommendation is to use a plane glass plate and put rice liquid and spread and microwave that.

Dear its same as microwave cookware, the plastic does not release any chemical to food as its heated hardly for 30 seconds. However u can use any thing which doesn't make your batter drip away in microwave or steamer. Please check this also
