Ive had this level almost 2 years and it has done great. I use it mostly for bending conduit.

I just picked one of these up as a backup to my Klein. This doesn’t come close to the Klein. Unlike the Klein, it’s nearly impossible to see the bubble in low light conditions. The Klein level practically glows in any light.

They designed this for conduit bending. It's okay, the reversed 30 and 45 vial direction means it not intuitive for use when pipe bending. Southwire makes a better version if the billet level.
The magnets can detect the drywall screws to find a stud. Most guys tape up the magnets to keep em clean.
The thumbscrew is for bending offsets within the same plane. Prevent dog legs.

I purchased a Klein level a few years ago the magnets are so strong you have to use two hands to remove it from the conduit

Klein torpedo level is amazing. My foreman went to take mine off panel and was surprised by how well it was on there haha

As usual , great review Catus. For me personally having been a finish carpenter for 40 years and now basically a handyman, I have no use for a 45° bubble and refuse to buy a level that has one. I get it electricians use them for conduit on the wall, but other than that what else would you really use it for? And even then whether it’s 45° or 43° who gives a bleep. I find it mind-boggling that so many level companies insist on putting that 45° bubble ALL of their levels. It actually irritates me that it gives me less choices because like I said I refuse to buy one. We’re gonna go to the trouble and put a bubble in a level put one that I can use even if it’s two 90° bubbles at least you have one extra in case one should fail. That’s what I like about the Stabila, They are the only ones to have figured out that 45° bubbles are basically useless. Or maybe I’m just an old fart, probably the latter

Very nice Empire product. We can always count on CM to level with us in his reviews.

Hey Catus Maximus, I had a pretty nice set of wrenches you should take a look at for your wrench series. Thanks for all the awesome videos you put out!

Have you done tap & die sets? I'm embarrassed to say I don't even know how to use one 😄

Empire takes pride in their tools and if they mess up, they correct it.

I won't buy anymore Empire products, the ones I own are not accurate. I have a 6" and 12" made in USA speed square and neither one is square. I also have their 24" and 48" digital levels and despite going through two of each, neither one of those is correct with either the digital gauge or the vials, (though I later found that this seems to be the case with almost any digital level). Also the edge of the expensive digital levels is more like a file than a level. Another thing that I didn't like is how Empire put a USA flag on the retail box of the digital levels even though they are made in China. I guess this is what happens when an American company is bought by a Chinese company.

Wish you would have compared it to something better than harbor freight but still a good review

Must have been measured by a guy, everything definitely gets rounded up to 6"
