anime princess did a spark archmage build with that set up last league I copied it was a freaking ton of fun having like 90% up time on berserk. Also had the soul eater gloves and at least with spark it was crazy easy to keep up with so much cast speed.
Now that build gets 40%+ more damage. Very balanced 😂
@@SpicysushiPoE Do lose a good bit of cast speed from rage change and a good deal of movement speed and DR from berserk but ya silly

@@Sammysapphira For most people yes, but anime princess last league used it on his archmage spark so it's not a "new" thing. The helmet used to change berserks attack speed into cast speed last league

Is there a way to get information on that character at the moment of the recording? Your Profile is public but i can't find a character on poeninja to get s a time snapshot for your progress. As your build right now using Kitava's Thirst with a lot of expensive pieces. Wanted to see how it would look with Ravenous Passion and before you got all the crazy stuff.
So...raging marauder berserker with cyclone and cast while channeling OR with ancestral bond to have his totems do the major damage while he just spins away and apply more rage in hitting enemies...or kinetic blast build perhaps.

Interesting mechanic but Kitava's Thirst feels so good.... also I dont have to put Arcanist Brand all the time on bosses which feels better, I'm currently running Anathema so I can insta proc 2 curses (conductivity+punishment) on my screen instantly + 2 curses from wand setup with Arc Brand so I can get a lot of extra damage + less damage taken in bosses. With the rage setup you get extra dps output but qol is way worse and having to use Arc Brand all the time doesn't feel good so I think you end up doing less dps overall. Anyway, thanks for showing this up!

Do you have an idea of how you would build it with ball lightning like you were saying? That'd be great, never was a big fan of frostbolt/nova setup.

Im DETERMINED to make ED / Contagion back this league, wonder if this will work to scale some of the spell power as well? I NEED the playstyle of ED/Contagion in my life again.
You can play contagion, I hear with the transfigured blight it's even better. This helm isn't good for that as you don't cast that much and don't benefit from manastacking as the flat damage it provides doesn't help your DoT. If you're fine with not having uber-boss farming DPS there are very comfy trickster builds of that archetype (check our CptLance).

Im doing a ED/Contagion Setup with many videos to show that it works. You can do the cheap version thats about 1 million dps or the one Im currently attempting to min-max. Im about to clock in at 7 million dps. A video should be coming later this week about it.
mathil did this before in his zerker penance dissipation, before nerf it has Grants Cast Speed instead of attack, so it ramps up fast and rage on zerker its good, he said its not good now the grant cast speed is gone, but maybe the new tech has potential

wow, this looks sick. Don't have the currency to do something with this idea yet but I might pivot into it. Following Goratha's build rn. I found the 2 button playstyle to be kinda annoying until i realized i could just run next to the bolts and sort of stutter step by holding lmb and sometimes clicking rmb without lifting up lmb
Giving up suppression feels so bad but might be worth it for this tech. Will have to play around with this once I've crafted the rest of my gear

I used the rage and ravenous tech last season on my endgame ele hit spectrum build, paired with the new boss gloves, it let me do every piece of content, planing this right now for my Archmage
omg so its finally out of the bag...im very glad right now that i bought my near perfect one for ~40c...my league starter is a self-cast rage berserker with phys spells (atm reap). +10max rage = 40% more damage.
berserker tech: 40% * 1.5 = 60% more damage BASELINE (because keeping up rage is piss easy and can even be done without spending mana), not to forget that berserker has another 40% more multi just because why the fuck not?
add berserk on top either as a boss burst skill or with archmage or CoC as a near permanent buff for another 60% rage effect: 40% * 2.1 = 84% more damage.
total investment for this? need to be berserker with rite of ruin, berserk skill, battle trance notable, ravenous passion helmet.
if you really want you could do a CoC setup on the lower left side of the tree and get more rage stuff for near infinite berserk uptime and more investment on the tree for:
60 max rage, 6 rage per hit in melee, 3 rage when hit, 1% armour per rage and lots of other useful stuff you could add to rage like movement speed, stun threshold or intimidate.
with 60 max rage, berserker, vengeance node and rage mastery for movement speed you get the following AS A CASTER when using ravenous passion:
90% more damage, 126% more damage with Berserk up,
90% increased attack speed, 126% increased attack speed with Berserk up,
90% increased armour, 126% increased armour with Berserk up,
12% increased movement speed
if you use the stun threshold mastery this adds:
90% increased stun threshold, 126% increased stun threshold with Berserk up

Saw this video working from home and instantly booted up my gaming pc and bought one for 150c lol. I'm playing BoLoO which means I don't need Kitava's Thirst anyway. Maybe for quad curse, but this seems way cooler, especially considering quad curse takes up an extra ring slot for Anathema. Maybe I'll switch to Quad Curse later but for now I still need that ring slot for resists
Hoping I played the market right and didn't just buy at the peak, considering 150c is still a lot for me at this point in the league :)

innate crit chance of weapons is for attacks, only global crit and spell crit affects spells unless sandstorm visage

tl;dr : You sacrifice your helmet slot to get a 40% more damage multiplier.

Wearing it without berserk is still 30% more damage. Might be worth for some non-archmage builds.
Might get crazy scaling with archmage spark.

While yes more damage is generally better than increased damage Indigon gives 2000% and you can unspec any increased damage from your skill tree.

When i spam it with spell echo, sometimes it blinks back where it started and i need to put my mouse really next to the character and you don't, does anyone have idea why this is happening ? While I think this is pretty cool and probably finds a lot of uses while bossing, the QoL that Kitava's Thirst gives is just too good to give up for most people (imo). Still good video and thanks for the showcase.
I honestly feel like using Kitavas Thirst is more clunky than just self casting with armagedon brand. With Kitavas sometimes I cast like 5-6 novas before the bolts even trigger, and then they have to travel.

But if being completely honest, its a 50-60% more damage for Helmet-Annoit-Gem, and what Helmet already doing this? Heatshiver, same use with Annoiting freeze duration and getting around 50% more damage

berserk is really not good , u get 60% bonus per rage but then u don't have your constant 40% more multiplier , you're more often than not hovering at 10-25 rage with berserk until the cost is too high to maintain and then drops, fyi if u can't maintain at least 25 rage then you doing less than being at your 40. Old berserk was much better the new one is pure trash
