This video will show you step by step how to install this fireplace into a wall, as well as show you some cosmetic details about the fireplace. Please remember this should always be done by a qualified professional
Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this th-cam.com/users/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.
Just bought ours today November 26 2016. Have scoured the Internet and TH-cam been looking for months. This is the best quality and pleasing ethically for the price point. Allows to almost flush mount which will allow me to add my own LED light around the perimeter. $740 can't be beat plus it's Canadian.
Could I please ask u. Did u plug it outside or inside? Is it a plug inside the wall or hard wired? Thanks
@@cghrios783 We installed a double wall outlet behind the fire so I could run the fires perimeter led lights also from the same outlet. This way all cables where hidden.
How I did mine was I ran a dedicated 20 amp wire from the main panel to a 20 amp wall switch. From the wall switch I came down to a 20 amp wall outlet for future use, that is now also switched. From that wall outlet I ran a cable inside the wall across to the 20 amp outlet behind the fire. I was able to do that as the house was undergoing renovations. Hope that helps you out. We went with 20 amp circuit because the fire power rating was getting close to the 15 amp limit when the heating element and blower where on. God bless.
Great video. Thank you so much for making it. It gave me all information i need.
Glad it was helpful!
Just bought the Napoleon NFL54HB. This model has vents on the top, otherwise it looks the same as the model in this video. It’s advertised as a wall mount, but I would like to recess it. The minimum clearance to combustibles is 2” from bottom of glass, zero from the back, 36” from top of glass, and 6” from sides. I also presume there needs to be space for air to flow for the top vents. I would think the combustible situation is related to the heater. Is there a way to disable the heater? I know you can run it without the heater, but would like to disable it in case anyone is looking after our place…

Same here ,I bought the same one and would love to know
I realize this is an older video. Can this model be mounted even more flush that shown? Looks like it sticks out a little?
It should fit in pretty flush sometimes they have boarder that sticks out a bit. Dimplex firs in really nice.
@@embersliving Much thanks!
How big should the opening be for the install?
What clearances are needed in cavity? Is there a header in that open space ?
No clearance. Yes there is
Maybe a dumb question, but the clearances to combustibles have me confused. It says 6” from bottom, and 12” from top and sides. Since this can be recessed and in direct contact with studs it confuses me. Also I was planning on shiplap finishing on the wall as well. Is the clearances just for protruding objects like a mantle or furniture?
yes the amount of heat coming out of electric fireplaces is so minimal
Can it be installed in a recess area? Thinking of the newer NEFL 100FH. Seems that I need space at the top to slide glass up
What is the rough opening measurement
Does it matter for the heat in the wall? Can there be anything fire hazard?
not on electric
Thanks. How did the fireplace plug in? Was there an outlet inside the cut out area?
Yes it was
@@embersliving I am pretty sure that is against code. Outlets cannot be behind walls etc. May be wrong but I don't think so.
I wish my husband took time out to watch these things before he attempts something impulsively
We made this video to help!
can you install it completely flush with the wall?
Ues
great video.. very informative. thanks. your helper does a great job too!
It's not flush with wall
Does the unit produce any heat? Does it require a dedicated circut?
0475Mike yes it's a heat fan , it blows out warm air , plug top or can be hard wired
Can the inset fire be fitted in to a chimney breast. Any one any idea
