Sitting proudly on the shores of beautiful, spring-fed Craig Pond in East Orland, Flying Moose Lodge was operated as a popular sleepaway camp for boys for decades. This unique property includes two seasonal cottages, the historic lodge, dining hall and kitchen, former infirmary, workshop and a handful of lean-tos with sleeping areas. The 64 +/- acre parcel boasts a seasonal dock and 3,000 +/- feet of frontage on pristine Craig Pond. Currently off the grid, there is the potential to bring electricity to the site as it has frontage on Hatchery Road. Originally used to house the camp director, The Brown Cabin was built in the 1920s. It offers a large great room with views of the water and a large stone hearth with exposed chimney. There is a galley-style kitchen, two bedrooms, a screen-in porch, an outdoor shower and a composting toilet. A path through the woods leads to the second seasonal home, The Gray Cabin, which was built by hand in the 1970s for the assistant camp director and his family. Amenties include a wonderful screen porch overlooking the pond, a living room, modern kitchen, three bedrooms, a sleeping porch, outdoor shower and composting toilet. Perhaps the crown jewel of this unique property is the lodge building. Originally built in 1875 +/-, the structure needs work but offers a beautiful stone fireplace and a covered, outdoor sitting area perched over the water. Other buildings include a four-bay storage garage, the camp bathroom and the former camp store. Some of the structures need extensive renovation or razing but their footprints are valuable as they all are sited very close to the pond. Imagine the possibilities with this incredible property that has been owned by the same family for more than 80 years. Renovate to your taste and use as a private compound or waterside resort. Just imagine the possibilities at Flying Moose Lodge. Close to the public beach, hiking trails and amenities in Ellsworth, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

You really should write how many structures. Like 2 cabins that were used for the boys' sleeping quarters. 2 homes. Home one has 3 bedrooms 2bath ect.. 2cd home 4bdrms 2 bath.. 4 garages, 2 storage sheds. . Is the land all trees, or is there a place for a garden. Im sure you get the idea.

Its 2.5 mill and will probably need another mill at least to fix up to be able to live there and fix structures just structurally and to insulate and add grid or off grid power . It beautiful place and love it but it is beyond most families to do all that . The time and effort Im sure would in end be worth it but then will be really worth 4 million ? I love its been kept the style amd way it was and good memories of camp growing up in places like this. Definitely cool to dream about and all the potential and could see it decorated in camp/ Adirondack style . ( we have that in our guest cabin)
