Beast is in my top ten favorite x-men list and he was just great in this issue, especially trying to resist Mesmero’s hypnotism. Wolverine slapping Jean to shake of her hypnotic state only for her to use her Phoenix powers on him is so 70s. The reveal of Magneto at the end is so good as we will soon get into one of the X-Men’s most famous battles with the master of magnetism himself next issue.

Great issue guys. I feel like anyone with like the most basic hypnotic/mind abilities can take over Jean. It seem to happen a lot.
