Fr I really think this is genuinely a competent of not good game. And the story is very compeling and interesting. Way better than forces and lost world for me.
Better than their decision making for the Team Sonic Racing roster. They left out some obvious members of the main cast, and they didn't make any deep cuts like they implied they would.
@@imag-nonespaghet9337 i mean sure if you prefer controlling sonic on a barely responsive fucking noodle compared to actually using a controller be my guest "bud".
This is my favorite Sonic Game actually it's my favorite game of all time. I really don't think I could play this without the montion controls, honestly If I was there for your steam you would have really enjoyed this game a lot more. There's a lot of things this game doesn't teach you If you don't mind may I show you my playthrough on my TH-cam channel?
Fun fact: there was absolutely no reason to make the sword swing dependent on motion controls other than "because it's on the Wii." There is no motion that influences your attacks or trajectory, if they had assigned it to a button it would make ZERO difference, which is why it shocks me that they didn't bother to add GameCube controller support which would've made this game a lot more tolerable Still one of my favorite games of all time tho 👌
Yeah waggle was a mistake. I think motion controls CAN be great, even on Wii (RE4 and Metroid Prime being great examples) but the BS waggle based motion controls so many Wii games relied on really sucked. Even Galaxy & Twilight Princess I couldn’t really get into until their later remasters because of how much waggle is in those games.
I'm really not a fan of motion controls in general, so I'm pretty heavily biased on one side, but stuff like RE4 and Metroid Prime works because 1, it's used in more of a arcade style that isn't exhausting, and 2, because those games are available on other non-motion controls platforms as well (except MP3 but idk anything about those games). Options are nice. I'd like Sonic and the Black Knight if it were more traditional. I quit Galaxy because i didn't wanna spin my wiimote around to get lumas and everything lol. Never played TP on the Wii, but I quit Skyward Sword on Wii because of motion controls as well. @_@
@@Runebee Yeah, I also bounced off of the Wii. I don’t inherently dislike motion controls but most implementations of motion controls (outside of the VR space especially) are lazy, uninspired, or overly exhausting. Skyward Sword’s motion controls are much more inspired than Twilight Princess’s but they’re also far more exhausting and tedious. One of the best things about the Switch has been Nintendo becoming more flexible with control schemes. This game definitely takes the lazy route. It almost feels like they initially designed it for a traditional controller and then just mapped it all to a Wiimote and waggles. Much like what literally happened with Twilight Princess. Why let players swing their sword with the press of the A button when we could require them to wiggle their wrist instead?
@@bubbykins4864 Wrong, swinging to the right swings the sword to the right, Swinging it to the left swings the sword to the left. Try it, its inconcistent but still real since its not motion plus.
It's so refreshing to see that they're are women on twitch that enjoy games instead of grinding on giant inflatable bananas in bikinis, I'm not sure why that's a hobby of a lot of women, But I think playing video games is better.
that's a VERY bold statement especially considering this is the best sonic wii game (not that there's much competition, colors is probably overall the better game but i just don't really like it that much)
Sonic with a sword? What next? Sonic in Arabian Nights? Sonic become a werewolf!? Honestly!
Runnin' out of ideas AMIRITE

Jason Griffith will always be my Sonic!
She: the ending it's not sad
Sonic: we are about to die soon so live life
Imagine learning to "live life to the fullest" from a game about a blue hedgehog with a sword!
What? A lot of games, films, shows, cartoons etc teach lessons like that
he's definitely having more fun than most of us
at least more fun than the poor fucks playing with the motion controls, that's for sure

With this game, it's not about how you waggle, but WHEN you waggle. Hence everyone saying that Timing is everything.
The thumbnail is priceless lol
LOL i skimmed through the video and i found 3 in a row that were like this so i'm like I guess i found my thumbnail

You can move the Control Stick on the Nunchuck and swing the Wii Remote for different attacks
Exactly
If I remember correctly, Nintendo had a guideline for all Wii games to use the Wiimote’s motion controls in some way
@@Antonio-is2cnWii Motion Plus isn't used by this game.

you don't actually need the motion controls you could easily replace the waggle with a button
