We were in conversation with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev & Javed Akhtar, who represent either side of the debate. Reason and faith have always held its respective place in society in various forms and has been able to connect with our lives daily.

Absolutely loved this debate. But I have to admit Javed Saab absolutely shattered sadguru's calmness at times.

@@KaushikMajumderkoyna Of course. Sadhguru says all the time that he doesn't allow anyone to decide how he is inside or how he feels inside, that he 100% decides how he is inside, clearly that claim is challenged and that claim is exposed as untrue.
Sadhguru would have slapped Javed had the situation escalated, he was that angry .He contradicts his own statement when he says he hasn't given anyone the privilege to dictate his behaviour but often times ends up doing exactly the opposite.
@@soumyajakati It isn't. Please watch the clip right prior to when sadguru counters Javed's argument saying "but the advice has been taken seriously", u can see the fire in his eyes. Sadguru for some reason gets agitated when confronted but u can't see him express those suppressed emotions but it's clearly visible on his face, he slightly loses his composure and gets uncomfortable. I'm not taking anything away from his yoga courses(minus few expensive ones), to be honest I have done inner engineering and those few weeks were very relaxing which after few weeks i couldn't continue my practice and eventually forgot the entire process. What I can't stand is bullshiting people and sometimes Sadhguru does that.
I am no fan or follower of Jaggi Vasudev & didn't knew about debate skills of Javed Akhtar!!! But Javed Akhtar just crush him brutally.😮. Hats off to Javed ji.

Satguru creates an aura around himself .. skilfully juggles with words but most of the times his explanations are more confusing than enlightening as he jumps from one thing to another. 😮
On the other hand Javed Akhtar impresses with his clarity of mind .

Javed is a rationalist and he always talks the common things which are seen by daily by everyone.
But, spiritual person talks about the life that you have not seen by physically.
Javed is talking about things what you already know explaining the same things what you have already know
But that's not case with spiritual person. By definition he has to talk beyond the physicality and might be confusing some times.

Belief has logic and witnesses but faith is void of logic. Sadguru tells you something through his mind, things which have no logic or rationality to support it.
Sadguru also has the same limitations as others, so he cannot see something beyond what others cannot.
If you have faith in something that means you have given up on your own senses. If you have belief in something, that is built upon empirical evidence. So a belief cannot be false unless the logic behind it is false.
So it is Javed who clearly differentiates between faith and belief.
Sadguru should follow his own advice, if doesn't know something he should admit it without shame. Instead of doing so, spiritual Guru's have answers of all the things. Show me one video of sadguru where he admitted not knowing something.

Faith is faith, common sense comes fro only what you've learned so far ; meaning what you've already experienced so far. So, faith can not be always judged from the perspective of common sense. The belief in a Personal Deity (Iśvara or iṣṭha-devata) is optional, so yes, you can be an atheist and be a consummate Hindu. Remember Hinduism is called Sanātana DHARMA - Dharma is about how you live your life in an ethical manner, belief in Iśvara may help you to orientate your practice, but Dharma does not necessitate the belief in Deity.

Accumulation is Sadhguru's experience which javed has no idea about. It is like Fish questioning over existence of air. Either you've to give a visible/tangible proof or you're wrong. Youve to bring fish out from water and swing in air and make it feel the air.
