    I thought everything was way more expensive!
    I’m Italian, from Milan, here everything cost more if you consider the costs/income ratio
    12.000/18.000 € for one year house rent
    380 € for one year tube subscription
    Carrefour costs a little bit more
    Drinks and dinners cost the same
    But if you consider that an average medium salary is 3/4 times lower than in Dubai, well... make 2 + 2 and you’ll understand that it’s much convient to live there than here.
    By the way, nice video, good job 👍🏼

    Hi Oksy, I live and work in Germany and work in Warehouse for bigger grocery store. I Apply throw one website in Dubai for work in warehouse something like similar my work here. They answer and give me these condition. Salary 1250 +260 AED for food monthly and house + firm bus will pick me and return to home. For flat I think will be some shared or maybe some 20 Sq meters. How do you think it's better for beginners or not.

    • @ThomasTomiczek
      @ThomasTomiczek 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would be stupid to take this job. You would earn seriously less than the income in germany all things considered. Why do you even think it is a good idea? Warehouse work is the lowest end in regards of required education. Which means that you compete. In Germany you compete with all the people that have Schengen Visa and german minimum wage applies. In Dubai not only is the minimum wage significantly lower, you also compete with people from countries where a regular job and more than a VERY low wage - and we talk 200 USD or so - is a VERY good step up. Hence a salary that would be straight illegal in germany, due being significantly below minimum wage. Do not work against cheap competition.

    i remember the cab fare used to start at 2.5 dirhams. Things are quite expensive in Dubai now. purchasing power in dubai is still not at the same level as in north America.
    salaries might be tax free but the high cost of living eats into your savings. you can save more for retirement in the US or Canada than you can in Dubai. Tax free salary is just an illusion.
    But its a safer place to raise a family and for shopping ofcourse.

Many UK, USA and Indians move here to settle for tax purposes and need to know schooling and medical insurance are very expensive. You also need cleaning company and maid if living with kids and such is usually outsourced. You also need life insurance cover and critical illness cover, which are not part of medical insurance. This are basic ones. Shopping, entertainment and clubbing for living actual Dubai life needs real good cash....

      Not being snippy, but if you move to Dubai for TAX purposes, I would assume that one, you do not find those costs really that high. And two, you are smart enough to do some research yourself. I mean, people moving for a job - ok, that better tell them, but moving for tax purposes means high net worth and more important high income... seriously, if you earn enough to make this an option, you should be smart enough to hire advisors. And not whine about the not exactly high medical cost. And you definitely do not need life insurance cover with that kind of money.
