Its Saturday morning and just for a change, I am at the Goodwill at Rainbow and Alta here in Las Vegas. Because its the weekend, I'm anticipating a crowd, but the shelves were stocked full of treasures that flowed into my cart! I have my Thrifting Vegas Blanket and my reuseable shopping bags ready, so Thrift with me and learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf, and why. So many resellers don’t bother with milk glass. I love it. I adore your videos…love your British accent. You have such a quiet demeanor and when you get excited there is a little twill in your voice. Liking that you have a BOLO list.
The wall hanging with the faucet handles was quite fun! Would be fun to hang in the garden, or Zen Gatden over the dry season!
I believe that 50% of damage on goods is done once it reaches GW. It happens by both the employees and the customers handling the items carelessly. I enjoy your channel and watch all videos you release.

This! It looks like the employees in the receiving area there are heavy handed with the donations. Theres too many damaged items. I've seen how they just throw around bags and boxes full of donations when they get busy. 😢

Please do not use those decorative spider webs outdoors . Bees, hummingbirds, butterflies and dragonflies get caught in them , and can cause injuries or even death .

Sad to see so many damaged items, pretty much the same in our major thrift store line where I live. Can't understand why they are putting out for sale damaged items as there is no return if you don't see the damage until after you purchase the item. Buyer beware!
Yes Tiffany we do have a Shakey's pizza parlor in California. Still the best pizza around. Great place for family gatherings and sport meets. They continue to carry on the tradition. Dolores
I think you got me inspired. I went to my Goodwill a couple of days ago. If I was a reseller I could have picked up quite a few items. It was terribly busy! And cluttered! But I found a box of about 12 I can’t think of the name, but clear vintage glassware with balls around the base, for $8, Gitz and Floyd sugar and creamer $8 for the set. Their pricing is so silly! I bought a new in box leaded crystal vase by Nortake for 5.99, and a FTD tall “fit and flare” clear glass vase for 4.99! I went there looking for the FTD vase, because the one I had for many, many years was broken last week while I was washing it, I accidentally tapped it against the sink. It is my most useful vase for everyday use in the summer. We have about 40 rose bushes and always have fresh flowers from May to October when the rains start again. Anyway I had forgotten how much I enjoy roaming thrift shops! Ima just bring one of those old lady baskets with handles next time because our store’s rows are almost too narrow to have a cart! The most fun though, I think was finding a nice painted wooden tray red tagged to 1.99, and it’s burgundy color was perfect, chipped paint and all, for my Autumn table decoration.
I wish we celebrated Halloween here in the Netherlands as much as you do in the States..💁🏻♀️🧡🎃🤍👻🧙♀️My house is decorated with Halloween because I just love it.🥰

Wood serve ware is indispensable in my life. And you can find so many options for very little money. It pairs well with everything from crystal to silver plate, to pottery. If it gets rough looking, a fun over with fine grit sand paper and polish it with any sort of nice cooking oil and it is restored.
You could hand the gold wreath in the wall and place a smaller picture in the center.

Goodwill is sooo bad about damaging items. They just dont care anymore. They just throw things in big bins all together. And then try to sell it for more than its worth anymore. And what doesnt sell gets broken up on purpose, just to throw away and get right offs on it.

There is a Shakey's still open in Culver City on Sepulveda Blvd. The Shakey's in Santa Monica closed down about 5 years ago.

OMG I grew up in rural Lexington County, SC and it was a big deal when we got a Shakey’s. We went once a week because my Mama loved pizza. Nice memory for me. I’m 70 now and haven’t seen Shakey’s since I was a teenager.

I find in Calgary, Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 the Goodwills are not receiving as many items donated (myself included) because they are selling at such unrealistic prices. I wonder if they will be able to hold onto their charity status.😢

Goodwill is known for concealing damaged items in with undamaged items which is like stealing from the consumer because they tape them or put into a plastic bag which they don’t want you to open. I’ve also noticed name brand items that are rejects or seconds and most likely purchased at a discount in a gross.

Those blue Lily Pulitzer mugs were just a set of 2 from FabFitFun subscription box a few years ago. I have the set.
Plus they have a gold rim so I hand wash mine. Those did not have the gold rim

I bought a beautiful pitcher, over 100 years old, an American pottery company, can’t remember the name, but really pretty florals. I checked it pretty carefully, but once hone found a hairline crack. I was going to use for decor, so no matter. But it is hard to see everything.

We had a Shakey's here in Louisville Kentucky but it closed about 7 years ago I believe there's another one in woodland hills Kentucky

I cannot understand why the staff would bother handling and pricing items that are broken, chipped or cracked. There must be more stock that is is better condition to take up shelf space. People just don't buy damaged items at 'normal' selling prices.
