Yup. Having underused vehicles is a missed opportunity for Rockstar. If they want to sell more Shark Cards, why wouldn't they want nearly all vehicles to be appealing and worthwhile in their own unique ways? This is what they've failed to do time after time. There are plenty of good vehicles, but seemingly just as many crappy ones. Why not do justice to those vehicles that took development time to make?

It's genuinely one of my favorite weaponized cars in the entire game, something straight out of mad max with some crazy twists to it, just wish it was like this in online.
@@arandomcommenter412 I'm a big Weaponized Tampa fan for PvE too but if you're talking about maximum efficiency then the Oppressor MkII is just straight up better in most situations. With that said, I find the MKII boring AF after a while, so I still use the Tampa frequently to keep things spicy.
I personally would switch the missiles for a 4 rockets barrage that has slight aiming capabilities like a 30° rotation capability so that you can aim a bit without being affected too much by your own position or terrain.
like a portable launcher platform? good call. the dualies are already pretty effective against all but the most heavily armored targets and can shred aircraft, so the added utility of an explosive barrage would fit well

Nice. Weaponized Tampa's rebalance looks really good. No complaints honestly. Would appreciate if you can rebalance the Menacer or the Barrage or both in the same video :) They dont need extreme changes. Just enough to encourage people use them more often.
One of my favourite vehicles in the entire game, the Tampa needs these changes! Would also suggest possibly adding semi-bulletproof windows too since the window "armour" literally does nothing.
i can imagine rockstar looking at these videos and doing the buff's that were done but giving them the opposite of a buff and making them meh or making them even worse thinking its a good "Buff"
I agree with all these changes, but I would have liked to see you bring up some more things. A big one for me is the rear mortar. You get infinite mines on this vehicle, but only limited mortar shells and it's really not easy to aim with it. I'd get rid of the ammo limit and increase the explosion radius to make the mortar more useful. Also while I dunno if anything could be done about this, but the aiming for the miniguns always felt janky as all hell, though that might also work to balance it a bit. Still would be nice if maybe the turret turned a bit slower and you'd snap back to regular vehicle cams while the miniguns are not spinning.

I really hope someone from Rockstar's social media team finds these videos of reworking the vehicles and aircrafts in GTAO. One could only wish for these changes to show up once the Expanded and Enhanced edition comes out.
those bumper missiles are so scary on that thing. especially with the minigun already really good at taking things out that you can easily manually aim at

The double machine guns of the Armored Tampa reminds me of some anti-aircraft present in some games of the Battlefield series, if they increased the protection against explosion and had a greater angle of aim upwards it could perhaps be an "interesting" vehicle to use against jets.
I love this thing. It’s fun to rampage in and I grind missions with it too. I will concede it isn’t great in freemode, but I’ve used it against ground targets before. It can be extremely dangerous under the right circumstances.
I spent so much time researching in the bunker to get the weaponized tampa upgrades when it first came out, then I realized how useless it all was. Why not give the car an increase in explosive resistance with the varying levels of armor you can unlock for it? I never understood why that was just cosmetic.
the thing i would have done differently would be add bullet RESISTANT windows since originally the vehicle had BULLETPROOF windows until the random nerf if got which stopped all combat effectiveness.
I would give the Tampa more armor than the Toreador as it is supposed to be armored. Like 9 or 10 rockets to destroy as it has no way to dodge them like the Toreador does with its boost. I would give it a 30 rocket max capacity like other vehicles. To be honest the Toreador should have 30 too idk why it is unlimited? Going even further really all vehicles should have a set capacity because let's be honest no weaponized vehicle on the planet that I know of has unlimited ammo. (Not 100% sure about Railguns? 🤔) Next up should be the Thruster or Ruiner 2000. Maybe even some helis because God knows they are currently defenseless against the Mk 2. Better armor and better tracking rockets is where I'd start. Really there are so many vehicles that need buffs/nerfs it's not even funny. This was a good choice of series to start Ghille because tbh you could make this go on a very long time lol Nice work 👍
I use the weaponize Tampa whenever I do heists and it works great because not all the time I need rockets. But omg the buffs you have it would make it one of my favourite ground weaponize vehicles in the game.

even though this would probably not be on most people's minds, with how good this rebalancing series of yours is, i am curious how you would rebalance the armoured variants of the normal cars like the schafter V12 (armoured) and the turreted limo, because it is annoying how the player one can only take 1 rocket before blowing up on the next, whilst the NPC ones in headhunter etc can take 5 rockets before blowing up. either way, keep up the awesome work with this series, i am really enjoying these vids
Imagine a PvP gamemode with all the rebalanced that you've suggested so far, interesting dog fights, anti air vehicles trying to shoot down enemy aircraft while tanks and armoured vehicles guard them and foot soldiers. Speaking of soldiers, you should rework some guns or even make another gun suggestion video in the theme of keeping the balance. An armour piercing ammo for the heavy sniper could shoot through tanks for example or a mortar to disrupt enemy's who are in a defensive position. Keep up the good work the only thing I don't like is how rockstar won't listen to these suggestions 😑
I think it was supposed to be a glass cannon, a swiss army knife of weaponised vehicles but to be able to drive with all these weapons it has to be lightly armored. I would give it maybe 2 RPGs of resistance, just enough to tank a surprise attack or an accidental shot into yourself but definitely make the steel plates on the windows actually stop bullets- they have so much holes that it wouldn't be a second Kuruma, but a skilled driver would have a way of surviving bullets by positioning the driver's side with the heaviest plate to the shooter. And for the weapons I would add 2 or 4 homing missiles with excellent tracking(as there are 2 launchers in the front, each could reload once) but leave like 10 or 20 normal rockets, so you have to think when to use what and not just spam homings mindlessly. Also it would be interesting to give it an option between the normal grenades, smoke bombs or flares as the ammo from the launchers- smokes would help to conceal a sneakily dropped mine or let you lose pursuers around a corner, and flares would just be flares- a way to avoid any damage from any homing rocket user, if you can time it right. And I'd give the miniguns a bit more range upwards, so now anything higher than 10 meters isn't a death sentence. AND REMOVE THE SPIN UP TIME, GATLING GUNS IRL DON'T HAVE IT, a short time for the turret to boot up when you switch to it could take its place for balancing reasons. And the mines are already perfect. So short version: Armor of about 2 RPGs but include the bulletproof plating in the hitbox 2 or 4 homing rockets and more normal ones Smoke and flare ammo for the grenade launchers Make the cone for aiming the turret a little taller, maybe at the same angle as an oppressor when tilted forward so it would have to get in your range to target you
i would *really* love to see rockstar take a look at changing all these vehicles, most of these are useless in pve and in pvp how they are now and this would bring some good insentive to play with them!
I still use mine a lot because of the dual mini-guns. I didn't care to put the other weapons on. I just don't take it into public lobbies. I do hate how bad they messed this up though. Great work on the rebalancing! 💯
I just bought one, really wish it was like this, when I got it out for the first time my friend told me to test out how much missiles it could handle, he fired one and I immediately explode, I was like :0 I was actually planning on using it against oppressors lmao
Last time I mentioned about how Rhino Tank should have usable countermeasure because I thought the small pods are just that, but apparently they aren't. Those are single-use grenade launchers
Btw, neat trick with the Tampa. If you skip on the mortar, you can open the trunk. Why is this useful? Well, if you open it and then reverse at an enemy, as long as they don't have explosives you can just pick them apart with the roof miniguns, with no danger to yourself.
If this would come into the game, it will be my primary. The aimed missles makes it a perfect driveby master without being totally invincible. You still have to bring in some moves to counter missles or RPGs
I think next update they should add a weaponize car that it’s special ability is unable to be locked on / stealth capable. But it shouldn’t have auto aim missiles while stealth/unable to get locked on to you.
This series is such a good idea hopefully rockstar will.. oh I don’t know... LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY?! Probably not because actually listening to the community doesn’t generate shark card sales in the way adding an overpowered broomstick does.
They should realize if they do make changes some people may actually be more inclined to buy shark cards. Making a vehicle competitive may make someone want to spend real money on it, who knows
I've always loved the weaponized Tampa my friend Sethrohitheflo I've always told him that I was a great vehicle I always thought that it needed armor though and maybe lock on rockets and it would be much better but all in all I love using this thing it's spraying out God mode Speedos Edit you just fixed all the problems with the vehicle thank you Ghillie master
not really, it has an special icon on the map unlike the toreador, if mk2 user with actual brains sees it they will pop chaff and shoot rockets until you die with you being unable to escape since the tampa has no boost like the toreador, its basicly a sitting duck even with these butfs
I would say the rockets would just make ot a discount ruiner 2000, but knowing you have to unlock them with gunrunning research, makes it a little more balanced. Good video!!
The Vigilante no doubt needs a buff. It needs better armour and more powerful machine guns. Also I would fix its driving dynamics, so it doesn't crash into every kerb or flip over like a Pounder Custom. This would make it even more useful in heists and against that overpowered broomstick
Hey ghillie, what I'm about to talk about may be off topic, but it's about the moc truck. I don't know if there's an existing bug or glitch, or if people mod and hack. But I've had times recently where I would be fighting tryhards or whatever, and they would somehow be able to blow up the truck in seconds. I've had the truck be destroyed once by just one rpg, and multiple times where it got blown up by just bullets, which should be impossible unless it's a bug or something. I was wondering if you could do a video investigating this and seeing if you get the same result.
Not gonna happen. Gotta have everyone buying the newer Khanjali instead. Both should take at least 10 rockets though. APS: Active Protection System, a device which intercepts projectiles before hitting the vehicle.
It's kind of difficult. Becaue the story mode Rhino is far more buffed than it is in online. Tested it out, it takes far more punishment in single player vs Online.
Ironically if the weaponized tampa had a glitch like the speedo, we would see that more often. The Speedo's literally the same vehicle but slower. In my opinion it should have the armor of the nightclub sale speedo.

This could have been a post apocalyptic kind of armored kurama if they added bulletproof windows but of course they never think of anything clever.
Vigilante with stromberg/toreador armor would be the best thing ever.

One quality of life change I would've added which I know you can't really add to single player is allowing the passenger to control the remote turret.
It's good for pve, but like lots of vehicles it just falls short compared to the meta. These changes would make it a solid all round vehicle

When there is a passenger, i guess it'll be easier if they were the ones controlling the weapons, especially the mini gun

Idk about giving it toreador missiles. The armor buff is enough, the miniguns (especially on pc with mouse aiming) are really powerfull

I would like to see a rebalance of the HVY Barrage.
I just bought one, really wish it was like this, when I got it out for the first time my friend told me to test out how much missiles it could handle, he fired one and I immediately explode, I was like :0

The only thing missing is V8 sound cuz that thing sounds like tesla while looking like a mad max vehicle...
Last time I mentioned about how Rhino Tank should have usable countermeasure because I thought the small pods are just that, but apparently they aren't. Those are single-use grenade launchers
Btw, neat trick with the Tampa.
If you skip on the mortar, you can open the trunk. Why is this useful? Well, if you open it and then reverse at an enemy, as long as they don't have explosives you can just pick them apart with the roof miniguns, with no danger to yourself.
If this would come into the game, it will be my primary. The aimed missles makes it a perfect driveby master without being totally invincible. You still have to bring in some moves to counter missles or RPGs

I think next update they should add a weaponize car that it’s special ability is unable to be locked on / stealth capable. But it shouldn’t have auto aim missiles while stealth/unable to get locked on to you.

This series is such a good idea hopefully rockstar will.. oh I don’t know... LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY?! Probably not because actually listening to the community doesn’t generate shark card sales in the way adding an overpowered broomstick does.
They should realize if they do make changes some people may actually be more inclined to buy shark cards. Making a vehicle competitive may make someone want to spend real money on it, who knows

What about Ruiner 2000, it would be nice to see no lock onto R2K, better armor, more rockets and that countermeasures don't work on R2K
I've always loved the weaponized Tampa my friend Sethrohitheflo I've always told him that I was a great vehicle I always thought that it needed armor though and maybe lock on rockets and it would be much better but all in all I love using this thing it's spraying out God mode Speedos

not really, it has an special icon on the map unlike the toreador, if mk2 user with actual brains sees it they will pop chaff and shoot rockets until you die with you being unable to escape since the tampa has no boost like the toreador, its basicly a sitting duck even with these butfs
Which is why it's not real.
I would say the rockets would just make ot a discount ruiner 2000, but knowing you have to unlock them with gunrunning research, makes it a little more balanced.

The Vigilante no doubt needs a buff. It needs better armour and more powerful machine guns. Also I would fix its driving dynamics, so it doesn't crash into every kerb or flip over like a Pounder Custom. This would make it even more useful in heists and against that overpowered broomstick

If the game needs heavily unbalanced you are the right guy.
This car is great for contact missions and heist set up missions
Hey ghillie, what I'm about to talk about may be off topic, but it's about the moc truck. I don't know if there's an existing bug or glitch, or if people mod and hack. But I've had times recently where I would be fighting tryhards or whatever, and they would somehow be able to blow up the truck in seconds.
I've had the truck be destroyed once by just one rpg, and multiple times where it got blown up by just bullets, which should be impossible unless it's a bug or something.
I was wondering if you could do a video investigating this and seeing if you get the same result.
I’m not sure about the homing misses bc it’s really satisfying to hit people with and it kinda obsoletes the stromberg

Not gonna happen. Gotta have everyone buying the newer Khanjali instead. Both should take at least 10 rockets though.
APS: Active Protection System, a device which intercepts projectiles before hitting the vehicle.
It's kind of difficult. Becaue the story mode Rhino is far more buffed than it is in online. Tested it out, it takes far more punishment in single player vs Online.

Ironically if the weaponized tampa had a glitch like the speedo, we would see that more often. The Speedo's literally the same vehicle but slower.
In my opinion it should have the armor of the nightclub sale speedo.
Yes. I love the weaponized Tampa. I also kinda wish it had some slight bulletproofing on the windows but that might make it too OP
