Thanks for all your Type IV videos. I just did this on my engine but realized there is a sealing ring for the fan impeller that goes on my engine before the seal is put on (for a Porsche 914) does this engine also have this? I didn't see the ring when I took it off and didn't realize I needed it until I glanced at a exploded view of the front seal.
Hi, hope your still picking up comments, I’ve a type 4 motor, and have a small oil leak, can’t see whether it’s the oil pump housing or gasket, or coming from above that, like the crankshaft seal, is it possible to do these jobs with the motor still in? I put some dye in the oil, and with an ultraviolet lamp I can see oil around the oil pump mounting, but not sure if it’s above that where the problem lies.😢
