    How crazy is this I just had Alan out for his first playing lesson the day we launch the five. Made 4 or 4 putts from 4,5,5 and 6 ft today. No more yips.

    Like the stagger step and the 3 second pause, awesome stuff.

      It’s amazing when instead of fighting it you lean into it. See that you’re capable of making putts in all types of ways and the pressure is off. It was so much fun playing golf with him yesterday and seeing him rolling pets in one after another from 4 feet.

      Let me know how it goes. I was so excited to release this video as I know so many people struggle with putting and Chipping Yips and knowing that there’s a solution that really works that isn’t just about thinking positively as exciting to think how many people it can help.

    What a great video. Thanks so much. Im in Australia and have the yips and not enjoying the game because of those 3 foot puts. Yesterday on one hole I was on for 2 and had an 8! Going down tomorrow with a couple of tees to see if I can sort it out. Thanks again Brendon

    I had putting then chipping yips. No problems practicing but then midway through round yips would creep in. The problem for me is I was fighting the natural motion of the putter and wedges. Changing to a claw grip helped but this is just masking the problem.

      Richard, are you saying that you change the claw. You can see in this video is leaning into tension that creeped into the natural motion. That’s why I take all my golfers on the golf course in small groups to add pressure so that we can see what we’ve been working on works under pressure. I hope this video helped you.

    Excellent video. I have the chipping yips. Could you recommend a practice routine for chipping please.

      I have a student just the other day they reached out to me that has severe Chipping Yips . He was meant to come out Wednesday, but unfortunately got sick. Planning to meet up with him next week. I’ll throw it on video and make sure to post it on TH-cam. My suggestion for now is to lean into it not fight it have fun selling. Have fun blading have fun sliding underneath it have fun, gripping the club hard. When we fight it, there’s no learning when we feel it and understand it then we can improve it

      Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll give them a try. And look forward to the video.

    I'd pay a lot of money to take my yips away. Can putt like a king on the putting green and as soon im in competition they come on. Have switched to right handed putting (I play lefty) and im getting better at it. But my left handed putting used to be the best part of my game

    I've been playing 25 years, about 6 years ago, i had to change to a long putter to change my putter game.. new start ...
    It will be in your soul till the day u die, and you'll still miss putts under pressure, but a change will help for a bit....

      I might disagree with that seeing the Bernard just shot 63 this weekend and one more tournament after the yips than before the yips as had Lucas glover.

    I really like the do this and this - 90% of YT golf Vid's are Don't do this don't do that, it creates a problem in golfers subconsciously end up doing the Don'ts because it is ingrained as the first msg in the Video, at the end of the day its all about Good Communication and NOT excessive BLAH BLAH, the Americans are really bad at BLAH BLAH - personal Opinion!!!

    I’m not sure that you can quite understand a yip unless you’ve had them yourself. He kept saying to you “no that wasn’t a yip” but you said “oh but the face opened”. That tells me you don’t know what a yip is.

    • @thescoringmethod
      @thescoringmethod  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely a big difference between somebody having a face open and impact and pushing the ball like most golfers do and having a violent jerk as you go through the putting stroke that is out of your control. I’m trying to explain to him now is if you miss a part because you push it or pull it, that’s just a normal part of he has to start to see the positive in a decent stroke that doesn’t have the action. Tell you how great it was to watch him make every pet. He had a 5 feet getting to know him a bit more and knowing that this had held him back for the past 20 years has a Pga Pro and Coach really makes your day when you see that you’ve been able to help somebody.

      It is a great accent. But Dan when I’m coaching, my focus isn’t on how quickly I can make a video it’s about supporting the player in front of me to help them break through a 20 year struggle. I think great Coach just take that time and we did cut out a lot of the in between time. I could send it to you if you wanted a little bit more.🤣
