This build really isn't that bad, considering low vigor and fat roll is offset by the shields and summons. High int scaling weapon/staff with a strong AoW poise breaker on the rapier pairs for a number of decent tactics against various bosses. Not amazing for Malenia, but I think everyone is severely underestimating the damage potential. Ive seen worse builds for sure
The fact the build has rogiers rapiers gb phalanx is probably the most based part even if it was probably unintentional and he had no clue how op that AoW is.
The mention of lighter load, at least to me, implies he was using the Winged Crystal Tear if he couldn't fatroll things mid fight. Given the magic setup of the... Is it not better to keep your Estus flasks in your quick select pouch? It seems more convenient then switching through your d pad slots in emergency situation
Well, damn. You absolute mad lad. haha. Honestly, the only saving grace for this build is the weapons (barring the shields) are actually pretty good and the Sorcery selection isn't terrible (Magic Glintblade and Night Comet high-key carried; Loretta's is damn near useless to safely use in combat save for a big ass opening and Comet has no reason being there if Night Comet is there). And fortunately, the main damage stat of Intelligence being at 68 does mean the damage output is alright. Ironically enough, if Elon were smarter, his Physick might have had the Winged Crystal Tear, which I'm pretty sure, would still be able to net him Light roll, even with his absurd amount of various gear.

💯💯💯
i mean, its still doable, and mr.musk didnt bother to look up a guide and he decided to played the way he wanted to play, so more props to him honestly.
Its an open world with so many options to create and develop your character. Its play as you feel like. No harm in that.
@@Honed- I didn't look up a guide and figured out how the UI worked, it almost looks like he asked an AI what build to make and just slapped everything that was listed in the equipment without trying to figure out how to infuse or quickly access things... I say almost because I feel like an AI probably wouldn't make the mistake of giving you a fat roll.

the word intelligence is doing some heavy fucking lifting there!
He’s one of the few actually playing the game how he’s supposed to. 90% of people just google the latest meta he don’t give a shit and playing how he wants to. The guys responsible for creating the leading rocket and ev car companies in his lifetime and a couple nerds are really going to try and bellitle him over a video game 😂. The fat roll to try and take advantage of the stagger at 5:31 was fucking hilarious lmao
Kills me every time someone brings it up! I can still vividly remember thinking - FFS that's right Im fat rolling 🤣
I lost it at this point hahaha
my favorite moment
This is also what made me finally lose it. Hilarious
immense gap closer
This was way funnier than I even expected, and a dang impressive fight, too.
Well played.
Double no skill shields is the best part of the build. You play it so well that it almost looks like a good approach to the fight lol. Bravo.
I laughed so hard when you broke her poise and then fat rolled towards her but she was already back up before your animation was over ;D
5:31 PAIN 😭 the fat roll made you miss the visceral 😭😭😭
IKR! It was so pissed off! A regular roll would have made it 🤣🤣🤣
Every time I see a perfect Waterfowl dodge, I feel so satisfied. Surprisingly, little use of a shield (not that fingerprint nonsense, just an old fashioned brass shield to meet the first movement) even spices it up.
Really, such an excellent job. Thank you, ir was a pleasure to watch.
That is how I beat her originally. Swapping to a brass shield to catch a break and roll through her combos. Felt satisfying.
Fat rolling waterfowl and guard countering in phase 2 make this the best no hit Malenia video I've seen. Well done.
"elon musk is a moonveil user" is the least surprising news ive yet heard
i also love the "equipped load will be lower if fast roll is needed" caption like he's so close to being self aware about it
As one might see - fast roll is NOT needed in this particular case

The best thing about the Souls games is that it doesn't matter how terrible your build is, if you're good enough at the game you can get through the entire thing without getting hit. They're very fair overall (some exceptions apply).

Based on this, if Elon knew how to play properly, this build would be able to somehow carry him through, assuming he only went the vanilla route of just beating 2 shardbearers and just the mandatory bosses.
I feel Maliketh would pose a bigger problem than Malenia with this build though.
damn he really did set his stats based on his irl self-image...that's crazy
No he was doing a heavy armor Marge build. It even has the moonveil. It is pretty meta except by the use of heavy armor and shields

I like how the build itself isn't bad, it's just that it doesn't live to its full potential. Making it a medium load by switching the Radahn armor could help, and adding parries to the shields could work. Overall, play however you want, but it seems a bit goofy to self-nerf.
Agreed. Ppl are hating on this build for no real reason than to inflate their own paltry ego.
Med roll with one parry shield and no one would blink an eye at this build.
That being said, his build is indicative of someone who isn’t a souls veteran which is 100% okay. I can see someone thinking the equip load is something you get close to without going over hence why he’s fat rolling.
Plus, as a range spell caster, he probably anticipated not getting into melee range enough to require a medium build anyway which is understandable.

That summon held up damn well.

Oleg is actually pretty damn strong for some reason💀
The mention of lighter load, at least to me, implies he was using the Winged Crystal Tear if he couldn't fatroll things mid fight. Given the magic setup of the... "build"..., the other was probably Cerulean or Magic Shrouding.
He was also using pre-multiple nerf Moonveil so he was probably crutching super hard on that.

It seems more convenient then switching through your d pad slots in emergency situation
I just don’t understand how someone considered a genius doesn’t understand the very basics of an rpg
all jokes aside we all know elons not dodging waterfowl dance
Ngl, seeing night comet without at least one Staff of Loss does hurt my eyes a little
The winged tear worked for The Orphan, it'd definitely work for his build and it's flimsy mage weaponry
fromsoft needs to do a game where all your shoulder buttons fire off different spells- looks so cool the way you do it in this footage, but would love to see them update magic to be less clunky
