Looks like you have your conversion down and this seems to be the way most people do it, but this way messes with the suspension geometry, I saw another utuber that cut the frame under the cab at the factory weld and slid the frame together welding it back at the factory location, I think it looks much cleaner that way but I’m all about the look of factory!
@@omarherreros9867 , I have 2 short beds and 2 Long beds . 1989 & 1996 Short beds are both 5 speed standard Trans 1 long bed is Auto Trans 1989 1 long bed is Auto Trans 4X4- 1996
@@genechoate5020 okay but if the suspension geometry gets messed up or out of line does that mean The truck is a death trap and it wouldn’t work whenever you try to use it as a race truck or doing donuts. 🍩
How long do you cut the drive shaft on this conversion and moving the leaf springs all the way up is that a safe idea if I want to use the truck as a race truck
Damn right, I have an 88 Extended Cab Long Bed, I see a lot of OBS trucks but they have the small bed, very rare seeing long beds, I would never convert it because I actually use mine for work and Haul stuff around all the time
lol if factory short bed trucks were available or priced well then nobody would convert a longbed...unfortunately original short bed trucks demand outrageous prices.... almost triple or quadruple a decent long bed where im from

Why wouldn't you just trade for a short bed truck. The long beds are rare and desirable to people that use their trucks for work.
