We got Starlink around the same time, we are in a mostly perminant trailer. We are now planning to get a smaller for my husband's truck. Time will tell how well that one works. This is a great video explaining it. Are you still using it?
Cost seems high, depending on the income of the individual, of course. However, it Seems perfect for entrepreneurs setting up RV camping grounds in the middle of nowhere and having amenities like internet provided/shared at a lower cost with others. (Random related idea) I imagine parking my RV in a remote camping ground, in the heart of nature, doing a lot exploring on my bike and then returning to the campground or next to it to have internet and being close to people.
It's definitely a high cost in comparison to a normal internet provider - but we wouldn't recommend this to someone living stationary with access to an internet provider. The cost becomes justified to people living in rural places where there is not another option or to nomads that often find themselves without service but have a need for internet. It is pretty incredible being able to be as far out there as you want to be but still having the ability to connect as needed! Cheers!

Though, I guess it's better than trying to run 2 different mobile carriers to try and find signals AND at about the same cost, so, win win for us!

Yeah I guess so? $135 per month? About as stiff as I expected. Only to go up and up and up. In the coming years.. And for,, nomadic, remote,, Internet business folk. Like you. It's a boon, to your, get away from it all capabilities. Phenomenal! But! With these, hundreds, thousands of, low Earth orbit, transponder satellites. All that needs to happen is… Some other crazy dictator. Playing with their new found toy, government sanctioned,, killer beam,, " Defense Satellites". Which they start shooting at like, a cosmic videogame. And they blast a few. So that they all,, slam into others and Scatter hither and yon. Into, 20,000 mile-per-hour, space strewn, buckshot. The whole system is blasted out of their orbits. And the entire system goes down. For years to come or forever. And turns low Earth orbit into, a death zone. Preventing any further such, communications, ever. That it cannot be salvaged. Your out a chunk of change. Have needless equipment that does not function. You're off the air. You're out of work. And can communicate with no one, again. And that's just a matter of time. Before that happens. The same way tthat, the Russians. In recent times. Had fun. Or was it the Chinese? As much as there are questions of this being a long term solution, this is currently allowing us to live in an incredible way and with all of the potential "scary" future scenarios that you pointed out, we think it's most important to focus on making yourself as happy as you can be in the current. With no mortgage or utilities, or other common expenses, the expense far outweighs the alternative options for us and guarantees us that in the current, we are getting as much enjoyment out of life as we can. It is a little bit start up price but overall we couldn't recommend it more!
Don't know the current situation, but in my case the first charge was after the 14 days plus a full month of regular service.
