Now I can buy it. I spend around 2 months per year in Brazil so I can use while there for 50 dollars. And If I want to take with me in any other place, I can do it. Awesome!!!
Thanks for this clear and comprehensive explanation. I see far too many SL user arguing in the forums about these changes… hanging on to their understanding of ‘yesterday’, because as existing customers they can still see the ‘old’ plans in their app.
I'm in Mexico and Alaska camping with Starlink, bought the Mexico plan ,use it while camping both places. When activated last January, it cost $50/mo.now its over $70 ...what the you know what😮
I've been on Starlink home plus portability for several years and just got an email that I'm being involuntarily moved to unlimited roaming or whatever it's called so this video has been very useful
I'm still on a Gen 1 dish. wish it wasn't so expensive to upgrade the hardware. I'm grateful for Starlink. it's infinitely better than what I had before but it isn't very consumer friendly and the price has gone up some 4 times since I got it on initial release.
Seems like I need to switch from the mobile priority back to Roam 50GB with my Mini. I need to have global coverage and to use it as a backup at home when the internet goes out. Can I use the roam 50GB plan at home too when needed? btw, best channel for clear info on Starlink hardware/plan info. Starlink customer service said I need to get the priority global plan $400/month -clearly working off old info. Thank you.
I appreciate the super thanks! Yes, you can use the Mini in your home country without restrictions. The only real limitation with global travel is the 2 month limit per trip.
@@DISHY_tech perfect. Thanks. It's interesting that when I go in to change my plan to Roam50GB , the notes don't reflect it can be used internationally. I guess the site hasn't been updated.
I have been using Starlink Roam in Europe with a German contract address for about 18 months. I have a gen 2 Dishy permanently flat mounted on my RV, which is in every day use. My data usage is roughly 200-350 GB per month. When I "forgot" to switch off the Dishy while in motion so far, it has been working surprisingly well. I never had the impression that in motion usage was suppressed / blocked. Initially, I paid Eur 99 per month, then Eur 59 per month from beginning of 2024 - the price is now increasing to Eur 72 (unlimited data). I think initially, there was global usage included for a while (called "Roam"), then the usage was reduced to the continent (Europe in my case) named "Roam Regional", now we are back to global usage ... I personally never left Europe with Starlink but I heard other "Roam Regional" users claiming that it also worked in North Africa without changing to a more expensive service plan or paying per use / GB. Thus good to know that there is dynamics and development, but I would have preferred the lower price to continue obviously ... 🙂
As i understand, it gets worse. Starlink can only be used for up to two months outside your accounts country. So if my country is germany, i can only use it for up to 2 months in other european countries?!!!
As mentioned by Coby and others below, the key question is if Starlink will enforce the 2 months rule going forward. There were several examples in the past where Starlink did not enforce certain rules.
@michaelmeier5619 I have the same scenario as you (Germany based account and touring around Europe), these changes will ruin this service for me/us. And those who say “just change address every two months” while travelling are forgetting the 90/120day account Transfer limits in place.
@@eddy802 I see the same issues. I might put 2 separate dishes on my van roof and switch between them and have multiple starlink accounts in multiple countries. That might get around this bullsh** change

I'm currently using roam on my mini right now in a power outage. Working quite well. I wish it was 100gb though for the $50, then $1/gb after that. 50gb is pretty low.
Are you able to pause service longer than a couple months with the $50 plan? I bought the mini for a backup to my much faster fiber Xfinity that goes out during power outages. I hope that’s the case since I’ve heard conflicting opinions stating between the new $165 unlimited and the $50/50gb plan. I want to only use the mini in power outages and the occasional vacation
looking at the 50gb roam as backup for my home internet. $50/m even if I hit occasional overages if my fiber ISP goes out is probably still going to save me money over $120/m residential.
I’m thrilled with the changes. I can have the 50GB plan on both my Standard and Mini. I can switch to unlimited and have in-motion. I use my Standard when solar can keep up with battery draw. The Mini at night or when cloudy or shade.
Im a RVer. it was stunned with the price hike at first. but then the added features and the 50gb plan made me feel a little better. Do we know if the 50GB plan is bandwidth(priority) limited vs the Unlimited roam plan?
So you said in an eight month old video that you could just get the residential plan and change your address as you travel. Did they put a limit on how many times you could change your address?
They didn't put a limit in on the amount of times you can change your address, but the waitlist is back in some locations in the US and Canada. If you use Residential to travel and change your address out of a waitlisted area, you won't be able to change it back. So verify your address isn't sold out/waitlisted before traveling with Residential.
Im in Canada and have a summer home I use from May - October. Starlink suggested I subscribe to the roam unlimited plan for $189/mth. They said I can pause the service when it’s not in use. I only use my summer home mostly on weekends and some extended vacations during that period. They told me I could pause it daily and my monthly fee would be prorated based on the days I used it. I have not read that myself online but the rep told me that on the phone. Can you explain to me how the pausing of service and billing works.
I have only been able to pause my roam service by the month. When I turn the service on, I am billed for the entire month, when I turn it off it takes effect at the end of the already paid month. I have not seen any option to prorate. Still nice to turn it off when not needing it for several months.
I just want the mini dish to be somewhat in the ballpark of reasonable pricing. The fact that they are advertising the standard bigger dish with separate router and everything as $300 but the less performant, smaller, all integrated mini dish is $600 is super weird. Just give it to us for like $400 in the US, but $600 is just too much for the mini IMO
@@qrclinelmao the starlink mini is currently selling for 200 dollars where i live, literally cheaper than the gen 2 dish 😮 I'm from Costa Rica, cheers!
I saw a TH-cam post that showed the mini is only $200 in Africa.... That is what it should be here in the USA....I wonder how long it will take to get there.
You mentioned that the break even point between the roam and unlimited plans is 165 GB. That presumes the extra data cost is $1/GB, right? I thought the extra data was $2/GB. Has that been reduced with these changes as well? Thanks for these videos!
I wonder what Starlink's problem is with Canada lately? No Mini, no 50GB plan either. I believe it's the 2nd largest market behind the US, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be a priority for new releases.

So can I buy the standard $120 a month unlimited for 8 months out of the year then when hunting/camping season comes I can take it with me for those trips and pay the $165 per month? Or would I have to buy the mini to have for home and camping/hunting?? Is the mini as powerful as the larger Dish as far as speeds and reliability?
Yes, you can change from Residential to Roam on the same dish and take it with you. Just make sure your home address isn't in a "sold out" area, otherwise you won't be able to switch it back to Residential. The Mini on a separate service plan would be a good option if you don't want to have to take down your home dish. It's not quite as powerful in terms of max speeds, but should be plenty for the vast majority of campers and travelers. It maxes out at about 200 Mbps down, 30 Mbps up. The Standard has a slight edge in reliability when it comes to weather, but again, very close. Personally I think the Mini is the best portable/mobile option, and I would just get one for traveling and leave my Standard dish on my roof at home.
New subscriber and have the V4 kit. I have the residential plan and thanks to your tips I successfully charged the service address for a week long camping trip. My question is this: If I decide to switch to the 50GB plan during camping season, will I be able to switch back to the residential plan during the winter? Also, if I pause service is the unused time and data still available when I unpause? Thanks very much for your informative channel.
I’m trying to sort this out with SL support right now. I don’t see any option to switch back to my residential service plan when I’m done ‘roaming’. This option was there a couple months ago it no longer is.
Thank you for this video. I heard from a forum that there is now a limitation as to how long you can stay away from your registration country when you are on the roam plan. Someone said that after 80 days, if you are on the roam unlimited plan; you have to return to your registration country?
The Starlink terms of service says 2 months (60 days). It is still unclear if they will strictly enforce this policy. Starlink has always had this 2 month rule on all service plans, they just haven't enforced it.
Sailing to the Bahamas this fall. Using inter coastal waterway and some offshore then will be cruising Bahamas about 3 months. I just installed a mini. What are my options over 12 miles offshore and in the Bahamas? Thanks for all you videos!!
One big problem with Starlink. When your service is paused and you want to start it again you don't have internet access. So when you are given the two factor code to log into your account you have no way of receiving the activation code. You lost your email capabilities. (catch 22)???? I had something like that happen but fortunately I have a fiber optic connection also to the internet and I could get emails through that connection. I have also had a problem just recently with my Starlink Roam system. Everything was working fine except I did not have an internet connection. Like my internet was blocked. On line connection was fine, with good signal strength, but no internet sites would load. Here again is a catch 22 because you don't have internet. I had to open a service ticket on my other internet connection to get my Starlink internet back. So there is still some bugs in the software or system.
Here in Mexico the price for 50 GB will MX$5,636.00 /Month which $296 dollars. So we're going from $1700/mo, unlimited data to 50 GB/mo at three times the price.
Great Video! I’m looking to get a home system to just use when cable / cell / data service goes down (Central Coast Calif). Since I don’t currently own a system I’m not able to ask them questions but can look at their FAQs. Anyway, (Question #1) Can I start and pause the residential service ($120 per month) at a moments notice? (Question #2) Can I change locations with residential service and how would I do that? (Question #3) If I have 3 people at home with multiple devices each, is the Mini a viable option even with minimal uploading? (Question #4) Also can a residential unit with enough power be used as a mobile unit and be switched to Roam service? , Thank you!
1. Kind of. Residential can't technically be paused, but you can just cancel service and reactivate it when needed. Reactivation is instant, but cancelling goes by your billing cycle. So if you cancel mid-cycle, you'll still have service through the end of the month. Essentially you'll pay in full monthly increments, not day by day or anything like that. 2. Yes, you can update your service address in the app or website dashboard as much as you like, as long as it is within the same country and the address has availability. 3. The Mini is a viable option for multiple people, assuming they all aren't trying to do extremely bandwidth intensive things. The Mini's main limitation is the Wifi range. Starlink says it only covers around 1,200 sq. ft., and the Wifi signal is concentrated behind and below the antenna. 4. Yes, the Standard unit can be used on Roam plans and in-motion as a mobile solution.
@@DISHY_tech Thanks for the great answers! I like the flexibility of the mini but am concerned that 3 people using 2 devices each (minimal uploads though), in heavy rains and cloud cover might make the mini less useful. What do you think?

Depends on your billing cycle. When you unpause you’ll pay a prorated amount based on the number of days left in the cycle. When you pause, you’ll continue to have service until your current billing cycle ends.
Does my Standard Dish (Gen 2) work with the Mobile Priority Plan (50GB)? I work on a boat, spending 28 days at sea and then 28 at home. I don't need to pay when I'm home, so I used to pause the service. Now, how can I save some money? Can I cancel and subscribe again when I embark, making it around 7 subscriptions per year (give or take)?
I’m not very techie…would I likely use more than 50GB’s if we were watching a few hours of say Netflix a night and checking emails and posting on Social Media? Seems for the $165 a month I am paying, I would pay less even if I used 150GB’s a month? We travel in our RV about 7 months ago year and out trips are usually a couple months at a time. (Definitely don’t need ‘in motion’ data)…just when we are stopped camping.
Streaming a few hours a day would likely use more than 50GB in a month. And probably more than 165GB a month. So you would be better off with Unlimited. The Starlink app allows you to monitor data usage, so you can see what you actually use monthly and downgrade your plan later on if you aren't using as much data as you thought.
Thank you for the detailed information. I'm a new user and purchased the Gen Three standard dish. I'm trying to activate an account as a new user, but it doesn't allow me to select the $50.00 Roam Plan. It automatically takes me to Roam Unlimited. I have a motorhome, and it's for recreational use, where I travel 5 times a year. What am I doing wrong, or what should I do? Please help!
VERY helpful, thank you. Sub'd based on two recent videos you've done. Q: Latest service plan changes add benefits for most rec users & data nomads, so great! But after purchasing the hardware, can't the next SP change global access or stop/start or rate amounts & reorder the winners and losers once again? Reminds me of the '3 cups, now where's the ball' trick.
They do tend to change things around often. But right now it’s the only provider offering this kind of service, so if staying connected is a priority, you just have to roll with it and adjust as changes come.
So maybe one that has starlink can answer this... if I get one, can I use it for 2 months and pause service for 10 months? As I am only camping for 2 months during the year.
Hi, Thanks for the vid. You spoke about the monthly billing cycle, do all accounts start at the beginning of the month or does your billing cycle start on the day you activate it? Also, if you pause it half way through your billing cycle, do they credit the other half of the payment to the next time you activate it? Thanks
Your billing cycle will start when you activate the kit, and you'll continue to have the same cycle regardless of whether you pause or cancel. If you pause service, it will continue through the rest of the current billing cycle. When you go to unpause service, you'll owe a prorated amount based on the days left in your billing cycle.
If I get the unlimited roam can I use my home gen 3 and my mini on the same plan at the same time? Ie, while I’m out fishing using the mini would my home gen 3 still work or do I need a separate plan for each device?
Roam 50GB has the same data priority as Roam Unlimited, as they both use the same “Roam” data type. In this regard, the plans are equal in preference on the network. Both are behind the other plans like Residential, though. See the Fair Use Policy for more: www.starlink.com/legal/documents/DOC-1469-65206-75?regionCode=US
You’ll run through 50GB after around 20 hours of HD streaming. Not enough for most people for full-time internet. But perfect for if you use this plan for camping trips/travel where you only need internet for part of the month. You can also purchase more data on the 50GB plan. As long as you stay under 165GB data usage for the month, the 50GB plan is still cheaper than Unlimited even with the extra data. For example if you use the 50GB + an extra 50GB your bill will be $100 that month, and that would get you about 40 hours of streaming.
@@curtisshepherd2990 Yes, but you won’t be able to activate anything but the Mini on the 50GB plan at first. Starlink recently made this change. You can, however, switch your plan to the 50GB plan after 1 month with any dish. So in other words, buy a Standard dish on the Roam Unlimited plan, then switch to 50GB later on.
I work from home mostly, but do travle to Mexico at least twice a year and up to a month at a time. I would like to keep on working while down there, but our software we use, Autodesk Revit, relies on internet heavily. I don't want to have a slow performing software while working down there, but I am not sure is the 50gb plan would be ideal. The steep price for the unlimited would be out of the question for my budget. Would you think yhe 50gb would be enough for me?
If you can order it for your country it will work anywhere in the country. If Starlink isn’t approved by the government where you live, Roam plans likely won’t work or will eventually get restricted.
You could cancel service as soon as your order ships if you want. If you order from Starlink generally you'll pay at least the first month of service before you can pause. If you want to avoid that, purchase from a 3rd party retailer. Those kits are inactive and you won't be charged until you activate service.
It would work if you are within 12 miles of shore. You might have issues with obstructions and frequent interruptions if you don't have a very clear view of the sky directly up.
If you are only traveling within your home country, and don't mind updating the service address every time you move, you can use Residential ($120) and get faster speeds with unlimited data. I have a video on this method: th-cam.com/video/T-lbgg2gNcs/w-d-xo.html The vast majority of travelers will be fine with the Roam 50GB plan. You can add data as needed. Anything under 165GB of usage each month is cheaper than Unlimited. You can always upgrade to Unlimited later on if needed.
Starlink gives brand new inactive dishes one hour of internet access to handle setting it up and subscribing. Even after that, you’ll still have access to Starlink.com through the dish to manage your account, even on a paused or inactive dish. It’s best practice to get everything set up and verify it’s working before heading out on a trip, though. You’ll especially want to get the Starlink app and sign in, because the 2FA requires a passcode sent to your email or SMS.

Wow this is an insane price hike for some of us in the GA community. $50 for 50GB was perfectly reasonable, but limiting the speed to 100mph kills it. If you can stay under 250mph you can upgrade to mobile priority for $250 a month. A 5X price increase per month...
Also, you said this is because of lack of FCC approval, but support agents point us to the mobile priority plan which allows use under 250mph (same as the old mobile limited speed limit).

According to the terms of service, Starlink "may" require them to return home to maintain internet. We will just have to wait and see how the 2 month policy is enforced for legitimate travelers. I believe the restriction is aimed at people trying to bypass Starlink approval in unapproved areas, so I doubt they will go after people traveling from one approved country to another.

I sent through a question to Starlink to confirm, if I was travelling in 3 different countries, e.g. Brazil, Chile, Argentina for 1 month each, so a total of 3 months, if I was able to use Starlink Roam unlimited like that. 2 months is not long enough for a 10 year around the world overlanding trip, so I'm hoping the 2 month rule is only if you're actually in one country for 2 months, and not if you are in a new country every 2 months, does anyone know? Thank you in advance.
It's unclear based on the terms of service. I would love to know the answer from support if you don't mind following up! Hopefully they aren't too strict and will let you go country to country. It's not very practical to be limited to just 2 months away from home when you are traveling long distances around the world.
In the terms of service they indicate that they "may" force you to return home to reset the clock. So it's unclear at this point if they will strictly enforce this rule, or selectively based on where you are trying to use it. They've always had the 2 month rule in place for all plans, they have just never really broadly enforced it.
You keep stressing turning the plan on and off. I was thinking to buy Roam/50 and leaving it turned on 24x7, home and casual travelling on weekends and weeks off. Do we HAVE TO turn it off regularly? Purely domestic US, no marine, no in-motion
Guy's just order Starlink standard kit and I didn't receive link to register with my id card ,the point is that on the website they said if I don't register they will not make the shipment so I am really confused
Starlink is for people where other internet options aren’t available. If you live in a place where you have access to $9 internet, it’s clearly not meant for you. I thought that was pretty obvious…
Great now I can sail around the world as long as I can do it within 2 months and 'm never more than 12 miles from land. Guess they decided to screw sailors.
Starlink is not supported in our country and based on new plans, every two months, I should take the dish to another country to reactivate it and bring it back home!!! Ridiculous
If they decide to enforce it, yes. The plan you are currently on has the same restriction. They haven't previously enforced the policy broadly, just in specific areas at specific times.
@@DISHY_tech Good to hear that. So since it has not be enforced for our conuntry previously, most probably it is not going to be enforced by changing plans.
I don't think those running Starlink now currently have any idea what they're doing. *ASPIRATIONALLY* they see dollar signs everywhere of course but as for offering up realistic service plans this is not a serious offer compared to what the major carriers for cell phone operations in North America do not that anyone should expect that. It is *"something"* which is a welcome change and a remarkable change at that but still no dedicated handset providers purpose built for Starlink something Garmin already does for Iridium by way of specific example and a far better business model for Starlink to follow 😊
I'm not sure, I think it's based on what each market is willing to pay. In the US, we are a "rich" country and Starlink hardware and plans cost the most here vs anywhere else in the world. T-Mobile has their recent Away 5G internet plan, and it's also $165/month for unlimited data. So at least relative to the competition, Starlink pricing is competitive. Another problem is that they just don't really have competition. Prices won't go down until other low Earth orbit satellite internet companies get off the ground.
Now I can buy it. I spend around 2 months per year in Brazil so I can use while there for 50 dollars. And If I want to take with me in any other place, I can do it. Awesome!!!

They use the same Roam data priority level, so there should be no difference in performance between the 50GB and Unlimited plan.
Thanks bro, very useful

Starlink will always be more expensive than land-based internet in populated areas. However, it’s amazing technology.
You mentioned that the break even point between the roam and unlimited plans is 165 GB. That presumes the extra data cost is $1/GB, right? I thought the extra data was $2/GB. Has that been reduced with these changes as well? Thanks for these videos!
Yes that assumes extra data is $1/GB. I believe it’s $2/GB for the Priority business plans. For Roam it’s cheaper because of the deprioritized data.

So there is still some bugs in the software or system.
they say your dish will work even when paused to access your account.
Thanks!

Does my Standard Dish (Gen 2) work with the Mobile Priority Plan (50GB)? I work on a boat, spending 28 days at sea and then 28 at home. Im a RV'er how long does 50gb last i use in month i use my i phone chrome book only ?
It's about 20 hours of HD streaming. Probably not enough for full-time usage for a month.
So if you start off with the $50 a month plan and you see that you will need more is it easy to go to the unlimited plan?

Don't forget that the $50 plan is a lower priority than the unlimited plans in areas of congestion.
Roam 50GB has the same data priority as Roam Unlimited, as they both use the same “Roam” data type. In this regard, the plans are equal in preference on the network. Both are behind the other plans like Residential, though. See the Fair Use Policy for more: www.starlink.com/legal/documents/DOC-1469-65206-75?regionCode=US
If I don’t use the entire 50 gb in the month does the un-used data roll over ?
No it doesn’t roll over.
So, on a yacht that will be embarking on a Pacific cruise, the roam mini will work for two months.
But then after that, what to do?
Neither Roam plan will work 12 miles beyond the shore. Need the Mobile Priority plan for that.
Is 50gb enough watch movies and stuff through a firestick or is it only good enough for emailing and surfing the web
@StarlinkHardware oh wow tha k's that's very helpful. So I can just buy any dish that starlink has and use the roam 50gb and I'm set?
@@curtisshepherd2990 Yes, but you won’t be able to activate anything but the Mini on the 50GB plan at first. Starlink recently made this change. @StarlinkHardware yeah, full time work. Min 8hrs a day.

Pricing varies by country.
So can I use roam if my location doesn’t have starlink available? Because I have the star link but it’s not available in my location as yet
If you can order it for your country it will work anywhere in the country. If Starlink isn’t approved by the government where you live, Roam plans likely won’t work or will eventually get restricted.
With the roam plan, what is the minimum activation period 24 hours?
You could cancel service as soon as your order ships if you want. If you order from Starlink generally you'll pay at least the first month of service before you can pause. If you want to avoid that, purchase from a 3rd party retailer. Those kits are inactive and you won't be charged until you activate service.
Would this be a good idea for a cruise ship balcony?
It would work if you are within 12 miles of shore. You might have issues with obstructions and frequent interruptions if you don't have a very clear view of the sky directly up.
The unlimited is GD expensive
If you are only traveling within your home country, and don't mind updating the service address every time you move, you can use Residential ($120) and get faster speeds with unlimited data. I have a video on this method: th-cam.com/video/T-lbgg2gNcs/w-d-xo.html
The vast majority of travelers will be fine with the Roam 50GB plan. You can add data as needed. Anything under 165GB of usage each month is cheaper than Unlimited. You can always upgrade to Unlimited later on if needed.

I ordered mine from the 4th of August , I eventually canceled my order yesterday seems like they are having inventory issues
Question : If you do not have cell signal while camping how do you set it up using the app ??
Starlink gives brand new inactive dishes one hour of internet access to handle setting it up and subscribing. Even after that, you’ll still have access to Starlink.com through the dish to manage your account, even on a paused or inactive dish. It’s best practice to get everything set up and verify it’s working before heading out on a trip, though. You’ll especially want to get the Starlink app and sign in, because the 2FA requires a passcode sent to your email or SMS.

Please help me! I am Thailand and I want to use Starlink with a Indonesia contract address. However, the checkout page doesn't load when I select roam, land mobility, maritime service. The checkout page loads and continue to payment when residential or business service is selected. Kindly someone here help and guide me.
Maybe use VPN for Indonesian traffic first? Since it's not available in Thailand yet
@@alvianchoiriapriliansyah9882 Can you please guide me how to use a VPN. I don't have any idea.
@@DISHY_tech totally agree, I will do, if they can provide an answer...lol
@@DISHY_tech I have had a response from Starlink, it's not good news:
"It will be limited to 2 months of international use from now unfortunately. "
At only $50, roam is a great option for failover, should your primary service experience an outage.
Can anyone tell me how far 50 gb will last (days ) as far as watching a movie or football game or all day at standard definition?
Starlink says 50GB gives you about 20 hours or more of HD streaming, so easily double that for SD.
@@DISHY_tech thanks a lot.
Is there an IT engineer here?
100 m.p.h. ? Challenge accepted.!
Can you tell how much data you have used in a month? I purchased a Starlink before our trip we’re currently on. I have no idea how much we use.
up to 100mph? does anybody try in a comercial airplane ?
the most worst change is that they have introduced International travel only for 2 month :/ i travel more than 2 month
In the terms of service they indicate that they "may" force you to return home to reset the clock. So it's unclear at this point if they will strictly enforce this rule, or selectively based on where you are trying to use it. They've always had the 2 month rule in place for all plans, they have just never really broadly enforced it.
@@DISHY_tech I hope it will not force 2 months.
its like they wait for me to be outside my 30 day window to change it.. made me by the 500$ small dish.. damn.
I can fly my airplane all day long under 100 mph. Just saying that is not a deterrent for those that really want it.
Better check with the FAA before you strap a dish to your wing.
Fucking some was hoping the plan would go down not up
You keep stressing turning the plan on and off. I was thinking to buy Roam/50 and leaving it turned on 24x7, home and casual travelling on weekends and weeks off. Do we HAVE TO turn it off regularly? Purely domestic US, no marine, no in-motion
What is going on, the Payment per month has increased to be 72 $
Guy's just order Starlink standard kit and I didn't receive link to register with my id card ,the point is that on the website they said if I don't register they will not make the shipment so I am really confused
me in nepal using $9 wifi 150mbs unlimited for one month lol for that price i can use for 1.5year better speed and ping lol starlink for ancent people
Starlink is for people where other internet options aren’t available. If you live in a place where you have access to $9 internet, it’s clearly not meant for you. I thought that was pretty obvious…
Great now I can sail around the world as long as I can do it within 2 months and 'm never more than 12 miles from land. Guess they decided to screw sailors.
Prices have gone up twice in about a year. Don't trust near future price raises. GREED.
Greedy? Bro, you are lost. You have no idea how expensive infrastructure like this cost. As they expand, it will get cheaper.
Starlink needs to get better to get my business
I don't think those running Starlink now currently have any idea what they're doing. *ASPIRATIONALLY* they see dollar signs everywhere of course but as for offering up realistic service plans this is not a serious offer compared to what the major carriers for cell phone operations in North America do not that anyone should expect that. It is *"something"* which is a welcome change and a remarkable change at that but still no dedicated handset providers purpose built for Starlink something Garmin already does for Iridium by way of specific example and a far better business model for Starlink to follow 😊
Price is to high. Unlimited should be $99.00
I'm not sure, I think it's based on what each market is willing to pay.
