I read that beck did the green screens for this first but was really disappointed that they were going to have him do a screentime call instead for his part in the original. Glad to see beck's part finally made it in.

This video not only looks better than the original GTA one, but also it pays more homage to the 19-2000 music video. Only thing missing is the Pink Phantom hanging on to the back of the car and Murdoc appearing less than in the original, which he never really did much in the original video anyways and has less to work with here unfortunately.
I did like the bit at the beginning of the original with them hitting the car, and Noodle looks left to right to the beat of the song. This is far superior, though.

Not gonna lie, I prefer this over the GTA one, but Take Two/Rockstar Games were big babies for taking down what is essentially free marketing for them.

It was more likely Take 2's fault having the video be taken down, Gorillaz had permission from Rockstar games but Take 2 were being asses since they are the publisher and owner of Rockstar and their games and decided to be bitchy and have the video be taken down. Lesson is Take 2 is an asshole that cant handle their own game footage being used in music

Gorillaz have been my #1 since they dropped, and Beck my #2 since Loser first hit the airwaves. Why did it take 20 years for them to collab?! I can’t adequately explain how happy it made me to hear my two favorite artists made this masterpiece.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, the animation for this looks amazing (but all Gorillaz videos have great animation lol), and what they did with Beck looked really cool, but I miss the bits in the old video where it looked like 2-D was doing a video call with Beck, and it sucks that GTA copyright striked the old video.
The beck part came from the concert.

I loved seeing the concert, but it was a rough time when it happened. My boyfriend's mom had the virus that week, so he had to quarantine with her because he was there and you know, exposed, so I couldn't see him for 2 weeks and was devastated. But we both got tickets for the Gorillaz livestream concert and even though we couldn't be together, we still got to watch it together, and during the time he was quarantined, I sewn him a 2-D plushie (based from Tranz), and gave it to him as a birthday/Christmas present (his birthday is 2 days before Christmas, he got shafted lol).
From 2:18 to the rest of the song is the best and my favorite part of the entire song
