Love the sketch-like quality of this video, lol. My vibrato and timing are good, but my range need a bit of help. Luckily my pitch is alright but needs some correction every once in a while. Conclusion: I can kind of sing!
I used to be a singer - of no repute whatsoever, and in order not to keep going flat, I tried to sing "on top" of the note (but not ending up being sharp) to achieve the correct pitch! This enabled me to get from worse to bad!
You're making me laugh loll. Love it. It's funny and people are learning. This is always how peoplw should teach singing and you do it so well. Love you miss tara.
Good ENUNCIATION is also very important ! Singing (lyrics) properly is a must ! The listener wants to understand WHAT you are singing! Enunciating the lyrics is a must!
Well, I am now 63 (a very young 63- most ppl guess I'm 40), & I used to sing well enough to do some solos in Church. (I took Chorus in high school & sang 2nd soprano & alto) but I have found that, as I got older - the last 20 yrs. - I no longer have the breath to sing anything!! I even find it hard to sing on key now, and I used to be able to sing a middle C on command (in chorus - we had to do that daily). Are there any exercises you can recommend to help me recover my breath control? (I do have lung issues, so pls take that into consideration). And I have no idea what would help me get back to being able to stay on key! I can hear the correct notes n my head, but getting thru a song without going flat is impossible now. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
Tara this is my first time commenting on something. It's actually a request. Can you please to a cold reaction to HI Ren by Ren. I swear it will change you. Millions of views in days. Your reactions are always the best. But this I have a feeling will be different. Thanks for your time.
I fail right away. My pitch is horrible 😅. My dad and lots of people on my dad's side are just naturally good singers. Love me and my hard of hearing ears 💅👍. I have good rhythm tho as a drummer.
+tarasimonstudio *Thanks for the briefing.* I'm familiar with the vocal struggles in producing demos, e.g. the two highest parts of: *COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS / Victorian Pop Marches* ( Edwin Othello Excell / Johnson Oatman Jr. ) Biglow Main Excell, ASCAP or the seven high parts of: *TESTIFY TO LOVE ( 3x Vocals ) / Intended for OMS JAPANESE CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF WALNUT CREEK (CA, USA)* ( Paul Field / Hendrik Henk Pool II / Ralf van Manen / Robert T. I find learning how to sing very doable if you have good ear. In that regard, you can always tell if you are off pitch when singing (at least most of the time). If you don't have good ear I would strongly advise learning a tuned instrument first in order to build your pitch reference. (do not choose a violin or similar because you'll be stuck with the same problem).
With auto tune and auto pitch correction ANYONE can be a star now sadly. Natural talent isn't necessary anymore it seems. Anyway, thank you for the video. I'm a baby boomer so forgive me if sound ungrateful about today's talent. Take care and stay well everyone.
How u can sing flat and sharp is a talent in itself!
I know right! When you're used to doing it right, it's really hard to do it wrong
So pitch, timing, range, and vibrato, is what it takes to be an efficient singer! I feel like, that I need help with all four of these things.
Right. These are good tips, but how do I fix them?
🥲

Its is so good the new editing and creativity! Great to witness your channel growth
Tara,
This video is especially helpful to all of us who are not professional or highly-skilled amateur singers.
Thank you for simplifying what is otherwise a difficult and complicated process.

@@Tarasimonstudios how much for lessons?

The closest I ever came to singing is when I do not sing.

I agree. The violin won't be able to help. It's better to have a piano for it, or the guitar?
@@BH-iq3ic Both are great to play while singing. I also found piano easier for beginners

No pitch and no range. Nobody wants to hear this cat screaming
