A micro USB port allows you to charge the internal Li-Ion battery with an ordinary USB-to-Micro USB cable. It can also be used to recognize accessory devices and provide a convenient link to your PC or laptop. Connect the transmitter to your computer and you can control most simulators, including the RealFlight® RC Flight Simulator.
    LARGE 3.2” COLOR DISPLAY
    Navigating menus and viewing telemetry data is made easy by the transmitter’s large, 3.2” backlit color display that delivers information in crisp, 320x240 resolution detail. The display screen also allows you to choose from multiple color palettes or create your own.
    ERGONOMIC DESIGN

    Finally. NX line-up makes sense to me since the iX series - IMHO - looks like a flight in the wrong direction. I don't want radios looking like smartphones or smart fridges. Good to see Spektrum back in command and correcting the course. And by the way, I love the new features. Simplicity sometimes means much more than tons of garbage UX.

    Cool! I've been using the DX7S, since 2011; & I'm in the market for an upgrade. I was originally considering one of the iX series transmitters, but granted the overwhelmingly negative reviews, I may reconsider my options & give one of these new NX radios a once over.

    • @alanwylie8960
      @alanwylie8960 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ZZ Cat, I bought a DX7s about 2013 and I'm still using it, I was highly disappointed after I started setting up the programming to one of my planes, it only had one 3 way switch, but made it work anyhow. My son is stationed in Germany with the US Army and he bought a DX7 G2 radio that had all 3 position toggle switches while in Germany for my Christmas present and he nor myself didn't know the TX module in the EU Spektrum models don't have near the modulating power the U.S. Spektrum models have, when my neighbor has the home burglar alarm on, I cannot fly using the EU model tx, but the alarm doesn't interfere with my U.S. model DX7s whatsoever because it's modulating more power, the alarm system works with the 2.4GHz frequency. So now I'm looking to upgrade with at least a DX8 G2 or more made in the USA radio hopefully within the next three months.

    • @NiCadHeliPilot
      @NiCadHeliPilot 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alanwylie8960 Yea, I'm in New Zealand & I'm way out in farm country. In the years that I've had my DX7S, I've never had any issues with it whatsoever. The only issue I have with it now, is the LCD losing its picture. Other than that, it still works.
      Though, the issue you are referring to, it sounds to me like what's called "2.4 GHz saturation". That comes about, with too many wireless devices (WiFi, Bluetooth etc) using the 2.4 GHz band at the same time as the radio, which leaves very little wiggle-room for the frequency hopping algorithms to use; & it usually ends up with the receiver going into failsafe mode, among a myriad of other issues.

    I don't see how this product series can be in any way competitive in a market flooded with cheap OpenTX multiprotocol radios. The price of Spektrum radios has skyrocketed here in the UK where even a (only!) 6 channel unit costs nearly double the far more feature rich Radiomaster TX16S. Can I load my Models onto the SD card on my DX8G2 and upload them into the NX10? I hate the idea of having to reprogram each and every model. I too just recently bought the DX8G2, but I ran into an issue where I could really use 10 channels... Which I never thought I would.

    • @HorizonHobbyProducts
      @HorizonHobbyProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! Be sure to update your DX8G2 to the latest software first (to ensure all the model files are fully NX compatible...otherwise the trims will not transfer correctly), then insert the SD card. Use the "Export All Models" function, then remove the SD card, install the card into the NX and use the "Import All Models" function. You'll need to rebind the models to the NX10, but other than that everything will work just like it does on your DX8G2 now! Also, the NX10 requires a micro SD card versus the standard SD card for the DX series transmitters required. Using a micro SD card with the standard adapter works perfectly for this!
