Thanks for the video. I have fond memories of my old TO-30. Hope who ever has it now is taking care of it, she was a running machine. Just sub'd, think I am going to love it here. Take care and God bless.
Hi, Do you have a video on the massey furgusson 35 tractor? I have one and i've not driven it yet. The ignition switch has been removed, and its been hot wired to start when the positive battery cable is placed on the terminal and by pushing a gear lever - does that make sense? will that work? I wish it was more of a standard set up but its not. I wish I had some experience with it but I dont. Oh ive just found a video with S gear starter lever on it. Its the original video by the manufacturers called ABC of Massey Furguson System. it was really informative, and explains with simple diagrams how the ploughing sytem works too. After spending most of the day looking for good videos on the Massey yours and this other one by the manufacturers were the best. Worth a look for sure.
I got to Ferguson I had 2 fords before the little fergie an iam so glad I got the t o 30 mines 52 they look like fords but I think they are by far a better tractor for the jobs they do just wish I could fine a remote hydraulic for her got bucket from ford tractor not big bucket just bigger than maybe 2 wheel barrel loads but all I need so if u know were an how much for pto remote let me know
I like them a lot better than the Ford's myself , you could make any PTO hydraulic pump work or even a front mount I think ( I believe the pivot pin in the axial is hollow ). I've put a few on 35s over the years just takes a little fabrication worst part is a tank for the oil . A remote off the tractor pump on these things is slow as Christmas but they do exist
@@HomesteadingtheHardWay yes I know but everywhere I look here in ky they want a arm an leg for front pump an cant even fine used but good pto pumps any tractor salvage around ure part of world
@@jackman6256 we have a couple , you could try Greens salvage in Eurica NC I don't know if they ship but they might . A front mount off an old sweeper would be perfect i'll keep an eye out I own a tractor shop so I run across odd things occasionally
@@HomesteadingtheHardWay thanks I dont mean that iam to cheap buy one but only places to fine that stuff on internet theres a salvage yard here but hes trying close down thanks for information
I have a To30 fergenson tractor number 2 spark plug when pulled out is all dented up and the piston still moves up and down but has no compression in that cylinder would it be a bad valve or rings I hear no noise nothing bagging around in their so any thoughts thanks
Narrow front is one or two tires together in the middle like a tricycle wide front is like this one OR on newer tractors it can mean the front axial will spread out wider than normal
I have a 35 that runs for 30 minutes then cuts off and will only run for a few seconds until i let it sit for an hour before running it another 30 minutes again.
@@HomesteadingtheHardWay just went through the tank, filter, lines and the carburetor an i re-checked my work. I've replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires and points and condenser. I might need to rebuild the coil then. Thank you very much for your advice! Is there a forum that you suggest for future questions?
@@JohnDoe-id9hi forums aren't anything I know much about but this might help, first thing new doesn't mean good bad parts especially condenser are a regular thing next thing is checking the ignition . On the coil 12 volt positive ground the + terminal should be hot switch on the - should flash with the engine spinning no flash means points aren't working . Flash and no fire out of the coil means the coil is bad ( most likely problem ) . I did a video checking a farmall they all are pretty much the same
@@HomesteadingtheHardWay Thank you for your time and help, I found my new coil had rounded on the bottom like a watermelon and the fuel line was clogged with crud. It's working! Got another 6 acres of blackberries to removed.

Many thanks , I'm going to do a better video on this tractor . This was when we really didn't have a clue how to film lol
I like it
It's my favorite ! Tbh

Our email is on the about page for the channel , a 35 shouldn't have the starter position in the transmission . Email and I'll talk you through it

Most of the time that's a dropped or stuck ( hit ) valve , they push into the top of the piston .
What's the difference between a wide front end and a narrow front end on a tractor.

Sounds like the coil breaking down ( getting hot ) or a restriction in the fuel line . Check the spark and for fuel flow at the carburetor
