ELEPHANT KILLS CROCODILE

  • This unlucky crocodile found itself right underneath the feet of the world’s largest land mammal - the African Elephant, and, unfortunately, did not make it to see another day.

Elephants are generally peaceful and extremely caring animals; however, females can become very aggressive when protecting a young calf. In fact, male elephants in musth can be just as aggressive. We have shared footage of an elephant walking up to a buffalo, stabbing it and calmly then walking away. ( • Elephant Stabs and Kil... ). Not to mention this elephant trampling a rhino AND her calf at a waterhole! ( • Elephant Tramples Rhin... )
And, probably the most related to this, was an elephant flicking a hippo into the air. ( • Grumpy Elephant Tries ... )

But, an elephant attacking a crocodile is a first for Latest Sightings. The unique sighting was captured by Hans Henrik Haahr while on safari in Zambia.
Crocodiles are opportunistic hunters and have been known to prey on baby elephants. This mother elephant was not taking any chances and was not happy with the crocodile being so close to her young calf -to protect her calf, she removed the threat of the crocodile entirely.
You can even see the elephant is lactating.
She went up to the crocodile and started pushing it with her trunk and head, her behaviour got very aggressive, and she started trampling the crocodile. If you notice, the elephant doesn’t have tusks, so she is resorting to using her mouth for most of the attack. She even went as far as wrapping her trunk around the crocodile’s tail and tossing it around while trampling it.
The continuous trampling by the female elephant weighing between 2,700 and 3,600 kg resulted in the inevitable death of the crocodile. Hans said he had almost no words to describe the interaction, just that it was “shocking!”

This really puts the size of nature into perspective. A 12+ foot croc to us is an absolutely massive killing machine, but to a large elephant it’s a small toy to literally throw around and step on. Crocs may be apex predators, but even the largest crocs in the world at 15+ feet stand absolutely no chance against a large elephant. They don’t even mess with hippos and those are a quarter the size of elephants…

I don't blame the wives for complaining.
You guys are so hard to please. You beg and want a woman, and when you do get a woman, all you do is complain. Why do you even get hooked up or married if you're just going to end up complaining about them?
That's why I'm single. I dont want to deal with this shit. And a man would slow me down, and most likely, I will end up having to slave under a stove and clean the house while he does nothing. Nope. Not going to be treated like crap. Single life is better, and I am free to be myself rather than risk having a guy nitpick everything wrong about me. Not all men are like you guys, but a man who is genuinely good-natured and respectful is like finding a needle in the ocean. And I am not going to waste my life searching. For anyone wondering why this may have happened:
Elephants have remarkable memory and Crocodiles are one of the very few threats to Elephants. They will attack + kill infant and juvenile Elephants that come for drinks and they'll even attack and greatly injure adult elephants who come to drink some water by snapping their jaws on the Elephant's trunk and sometimes even biting their trunk off, which can result in fatal infections or the Elephant starving to death/dying to dehydration as their trunks are their main tool for survival.
So basically, this Elephant saw this Croc and was like "It's on sight" and ended the thing before it could harm any of the other Elephants in it's herd.

The connections they make with Humans is so beautiful to watch. I'm glad they accept us. Well, all but the poachers who I have no problem with the Elephants stomping out. If you are kind to an elephant, most seem to return the kindness. That is a huge sign of intelligence. Without a doubt there's a connection. They share Spindle Cells with us, which are only found in Elephants, Whales, Dolphins, Orca, and Gorillas. One of my favorite videos, is of the one female elephant, who thinks her favorite human is her son. He calls her name, and she comes RUNNING! It's amazing to watch as the guy starts drifting down a river as he crosses it, thinks he's in trouble and runs as fast as she can into the river to catch him, as he just about reaches the other side to put him on land, then pull him underneath her to protect.

Humans are seemingly the only animals that can think out and premeditate atrocities like murder and war and waste. Animals get violent as a pure reaction to certain stimuli and just instinctually respond to these situations as they see fit for survival. They don’t have perfect harmony, but also have no complex means of communication to talk things out as we do. They’re doing pretty well compared to us with much less. Do👏 better👏 humans👏 haha

When I was in Tanzania in the middle of the migration there were thousands of zebra, wildebeest, and others around a watering hole. Then a bull elephant came through to get some water and all the animals parted to give it room for the watering hole. Then it sauntered on and all the animals went back to normal. Nothing commands as much respect as an elephant.
