The Lonesome Pine Specials. A television series that ran from 1986-1991 and was intended to document American music traditions and performers. Directed by Richard Van Kleeck and put out by TV stations WFPL and KET. Performances were filmed in the Bomhard Theater at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.
All-star bluegrass band of David Grisman, Tony Rice, J. D. Crowe, Alison Krauss, and Mark Schatz aka Rounder Allstars / Rounder Records Allstars / Rounder Records 20th Anniversary band. Broadcast as Episode #210 of the Lonesome Pine Specials.
