Thank you for telling me how to depressurize the fuel tank. It may be obvious to some folks, but I am not one of them. Another video mentioned the need for this but did not explain how, so I was glad you did.
Small washer is for the bottom connection..If you check it looks like a cone there. That's where the copper ring sets, sometimes old ones are stuck from the olde filter when removed.
I actually have a 94 Civic Si hatchback that has a B20Z swapped in, so looking for correct parts can sometimes be annoying on these apps. I bought the filter for the 2001 CRV that the engine came from. Fit perfectly. Only thing is, my fuel filter has an entirely different bracket attaching it to the vehicle, so it looks nothing like the video. The filter is actually completely horizontal with the top end on the right and the bottom end on the left. Previous filter was VMS and we found out how poorly made those are. Was leaking and making whistling sounds after less than 6500 miles. Anyway, the video was still helpful!
Good question. Usally around 50k depending on the driving and what type of gas is put in, cheap gas will have a lot of particles, hint:don’t let your gas get to low because fuel pump well pump up the little debris left on the bottom of the tank
Try to find where -be careful because the threads they’re really easy to strip, especially from the hard line -what some people like to do on the threads is put Teflon tape if it’s not sealing right, but do it at your own risk it’s not recommended but that’s what some people do for last resort. Good luck

Can u recommend where u got your filter
I used a autozone filter and had to return it . Would not seat properly with the washers
FF696DL is the part number and it is from autozone, at 0:20 you can kinda see the box sorry 😅
autozone and advance both leaked on me/i used the supplied washers
gonna try a oem from honda, any suggestions what went wrong?
both from the top/waiting on oem, tried putting old one back-leaks but very small/while I wait for oem
@@grockindabuilding4744 it sounds like its not the rings but where its sitting might have a bad threads, if the threads are bad you need teflon tape
I had a 98 Civic changed it it was soo easy
By any chance have u changed an oil filter for a civic 2012 or where it’s at bec I can’t find no viedos on that
No sir sorry
it’s in the passenger wheel well or it’s under the skid plate next the to oil pan
How often should the filter be change?
