I've been lucky enough to never have been bitten, but I've had 2 or 3 friends this year who've all picked them up - 2 on Skye, 1 at Loch Katrine in the Trossachs. I wear gaiters religiously these days and brush myself down as often as possible. Lyme Disease is nothing to sniff at. While the ticks apparently don't like me, their friends the midges definitely do though!
@@DarktableLandscapes Awesome! I didn't know that was possible. Was one of the few things in lightroom I have really missed in darktable. Great videos by the way!
I prefer the second one in this example, looks somewhat more natural. But a matter of style and preference. The question around vignetes, it's a personal preference again, but why add them to every image?
They're a simple and effective way to add depth and focus attention where you want it focused. Personal preference as you say - I hope never to give the impression that my way is the only/best way, just to give people the tools to process their images how they like.
What a fantastic demonstration.
Thanks!
Great job !
Love the first one.
Sad to hear about the ticks that were hardly noticeable fifty years ago.
Another interesting video - thanks

What version are you using here? Color equalizer channel sliders is a new feature? In 4.8 I just have the curve to make adjustments
Middle click on the equaliser and the sliders will appear 🙂

Please, can you make a video how to master in masks in Darktable? One reason I don't use Darktable so much is masking is dificult!😅
Yeah I've been thinking of something like that.
Bruce Williams has a 3 part series on masking from 2 years ago that is very good!
@@Drezaem55 this is why I've not been in a rush to make one myself - there are a few already around.
You should find what you are looking for on this channel, there are 4 very complete videos on masks.
