I ordered me some squids 2 days ago dudes super friendly and very helpful. Thanks for the tip hope they live up to the hype. I cant afford the 3bros rc so these seem like the next best option.
Do you have any videos uploaded running the squids?
I got a TRX-4, a Capra, and a SCX10 III, and I concede to being an epically cheap SOB. But of the several OEM as well as Injora replacement tires I've tried I find the licensed, OEM Nitto Trail Grapplers on the SCX10 far and away the BEST(since I LOVE 'scale' this pleases me). The Squids or Anti-foams are on my wish list, but I think I got 'tires' solved.
I don’t have squids but I can tell you 3brc soft antifoams are a game changer. You don’t know what steering accuracy is until you try some antifoams! No more slowly sliding sideways on side hills and no more insane tire roll when going down a steep hill

Get with me. I'm working on a cf chassis that's a bolt in replacement with trailing arms and a slanted skid. But everything will go right on it. I just don't have an ecto or element to try it on. Get at me if you want to help design it. I also want to do one for the basecamp.
Hmmm I’m torn on the holds… they didn’t seem like they conformed very well in the first video but they did well on the smooth(ish) ramp test. Then you put squids in there and now they conform which is good for jagged rocks…. But now they don’t do as well on less jagged terrain like the ol’ ramp test 🤔
I'm seriously considering redoing my ecto with a tgh chassis. It does so well that I'm afraid to mess it up. Mine doesn't even have 4 link and soa!
What do you guys rule that truck into with classes at the plex? There's some controversy about them here because of how narrow that body is.
@Forrest Farris if you flip the truck over and try and place the body on the front tires and it slides right between the tires with no resistance sorrca calls that illegal. Element plays with that rule by adding those little plastic door hinges. But if you widen your track width by either adding spacers or offset wheels or different axles altogether, then your tires are too far outside the body for sorrca to deem it C2 legal. Because the inside of the tires can't extend passed the body at the widest part of the doors. This has been a topic of discussion at our local comps.
@Forrest Farris yes but certain clubs don't follow exactly to sorrca rules. I was just curious what his club called that truck.
