THINGS TO KNOW: Rebuild devastated areas solo or in co-op mode with UP TO 4 PLAYERS (absolutely tragic, sad) in a simulation featuring advanced physics. Operate more than 40 vehicles, from bulldozers to construction cranes. Work in various regions around the world in 8 maps, each 4km2 in size (no more tunnels etc between zones. Manipulate materials such as wood, sand, or asphalt using Saber Interactive's new physics engine. Construct new roads & bridges to facilitate movement across rugged terrain. Plot point-to-point routes on your map to guide your logistics convoys (these are driven by NPCs) & recycle every piece of debris into reconstruction materials.
I really really love those "this whole area is messed up, let's fix it little by little" games. Everything from car mechanic simulator to train station renovation to WW2 rebuilder. Those games are my jam. Wishlisted this immediately.
00:01:33 - "Looks like we can pick up after disasters..." with that Helldivers II background music going, I can't help but imagine playing this on a planet surface in the aftermath of a mission on "Helldive".
Oh the amount of times I wanted to fix the roads and terrain in snowrunner. Sometimes in roads it was just that "1 part" and now we can do it. I'm so excited for this!!
What I really want is kind of like a safe and rescue game from snowrunner people. Would be cool if we can also get off the truck, grab a chainsaw and rescue people from disaster or something
A great idea... but I get the feeling, this will be far from what we're dreaming. I couldn't help but notice they had a spool truck and a tugger for stretching/buring wires for infrastructure... so that will be cool. Just knowing these are sand bed roads in a flood area aggravates the hell outta me. I'm hoping for different class materials. It would also be cool if they incorporated modern things like geofoam blocks and concrete cloth. Some pre-cast concrete forms and culverts would be cool. As the game improves, it would be nice to have replayable maps, where you could see how your new infrastructure holds up to another flood.
id really love something like this but as a farming sim, something with dynamic loose surface simulation rather than just the model of a tractor changing the color of the soil, I WANT STEIGERS AND BIG BUDS TOO!
Interesting looking game. I would love a game where one could build a railroad. Be presented with a landscape and to figure out the most efficient, cost-effective way of building a train route through it (leveling ground, building bridges, making tunnels, making cuts, getting equipment there to do the work, etc.), and to be able to pick different time eras in history to do it. And then to run a railroad on it, sort of in the vein of Railroad Tycoon II with a full stock market capability.
doing this in real life is interesting but very slow and dealing with weather is the worst about it but the work is very challenging- playing a game of it is incredible and i am looking forward to it
man, you are SO right. me and a buddy that play snowrunner have dreamed of a game like this - when it comes out, i'm done with snowrunner! - i just hope this is EARLY '25 and not later in the year. also hope they support the game with future dlc content like they've done with snowrunner.
I was begging the devs all over social media to do a patch update and allow us to push dirt, mud and move rocks around to make the roads better etc. then the gods answered with this game
I know and understand its probably unreasonable but 3 games combined would be the perfect game; farming simulator, snowrunner and out of ore. Those games combined would be absolutely insane!
I really wish some dev would come out with a brand new and reworked SimCity that has mechanics in it like this, fully terraformable land, bridge building, all of it. SimCity 4 was one of my all time favorites. That genre went sideways sadly with skylines. We all know what we want out of a great city building game. I imagine the reason we haven’t gotten a great simcity game is there simply isn’t a large enough fan base. What we need is a triple-AAA title city builder. I don’t think we’ll ever get it like how we would want it (I’m pretty sure most of us builders all have the same ideas in mind when it comes to features) Tbh I’m even worried about another one coming out… especially since the general consensus with studios seems to hardcore push any and all monetization methods they can. So… we’ll likely be paying real world money for an in game currency to purchase building types (by unlocking skins and possibly features) Truth told… if a dev came out with a really good builder, I wouldn’t mind paying through the nose for it. But this day and age, again, I feel like there’s no market for a substantial investment into actually making a great builder. Unless the devs went all out and allowed players to take control of citizens in some way, making it both a city builder, and third person game. Think Grand Theft Auto meets SimCity. The player would only be able to take control of the mayor, or any city worker, like police, firefighters, maybe construction workers. Build roads, bridges, buildings…. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll ever see anything remotely similar in our lifetimes.😅
I wonder if a whole new set of contracts become available once you complete the roads and repair the devastated town? Like does the game/map end after that? I think it would be cool if you could start doing deliveries like Snowrunner after cleaning the town up.
That one scene looks like you could do some automation as well. I hope the building is not as difficult as in the gold mining simulator. Which was realistic, but pretty much impossible to make smooth ramps with mouse and keyboard.
just hope this is just delivery and you watch the work get done i hope that we can actually reshape and do the work ourselves like laying the dirt, rock, sand and tarmac or asphalt
Hi Raptor, i first saw a video about this on "Nathan Province's" channel. he recently put up another video with answers to some of the questions the community have been asking about this game. he is planning to do regular update videos as he gets for information about it.
Oh yes! Oh god yes! This is one of the things i liked doing in Death Stranding. The game sounds like it would be terrible but i feel myself tweaking. Going into withdraws waiting for this game.
My prediction…you litro just build roads and that’s it. Nothing more, I was hoping from the thumb nail that it was gonna be something like Teardown where you have to build the whole city
This is the game we wanted and deserved after snowruner a true successor I loved loved snowruner but I can't stand exhibitions hopefully this redeems them
"The game we all wanted FOREVER"!? Yes! I can't wait for the open world sandbox survival zombie FPS that we've all been waiting for! But this driving game also looks interesting.
Game looks amazing. I will definitely be getting it when it comes out.... i love all the previous games and own them all. One thing that really ticked me off was that snow runner didnt have anywhere on the case that internet was required to play it. I got it and took it on the road with me just to find out i couldn't play it until I got home lol... would have been nice to have known that and not to have found out the hard way😂
If it only requires an online connection so it can log in, and not for multiplayer, then you could probably get away with using your phone as a hotspot, letting you play on the road! Do you have a console or gaming laptop in your truck or something?
Let us hope they'll finally come back to manual gearboxes, physics of Mudrunner, and complete multi USB-devices compatibility. You know, for those who enjoy driving old trucks with something else than a gamepad. Nothing wrong with gamepads, but it's a shame people have to go back to Mudrunner if they have something else than a G29 kit 😭 (again, nothing wrong about players...but developpers, please, develop 😉). And please don't forget multiplayer from day 1... Can't wait to see what's what ! Cheers !
Now just make sure that the performance issues are not present like they were in snowrunner. Stuttering and FPS drops for no reason on high end systems were super annoying.
@@FrickinYeahRides The fact that you can play co-op with randoms but have no means to communicate with them is what he is referring to. Been that way since day 1 lol

Facts bro
I think I still have my old Tonka Truck somewhere around here.
Yes! The only thing missing is the out of ore concept being able to terra form the terrain
As someone who enjoyed the 'Fixing stuff up' aspect of Snowrunner, I'm quite excited for this game.
"I reaaaalllllly want to fix these roads..."
-Me, after a good amount of hrs in Snowrunner lol
Dunno why watching it makes me feel I need to do something for a democracy
I also had a very democratic feeling come over me watching this 😏
Vote. Then come home and play Roadcraft 💪
For democracy!!!

Super keen for this one too, have out so many hours into the other titles in this series. Can't wait :)
Would be cool if this game was an open world or sand box game like Railroads On Line
Great thought Danny!
From logging in mud to building roads . Pretty cool 😊
I hope there are many more save points than snow runner. They made that more difficult than needed and was ultimately why some of us dropped off
Agreed, half the time i dont play snowrunner is because i dont want to run out of time in the middle of a mission again(in life, like bedtime😅)
Roadcraft is going to be amazing! I can't wait
Need cement mixer and blacktop layer too. This is gonna be great.
oh I still remember having so much fun playing the educational kids game 1996 Tonka Construction! Looking forward to something like it.

I still play Snowrunner as my favorite game, and it's EXACTLY what I'm looking for as you say. I hope it delivers better than Expeditions.
Im curious if putting out games like this is training people to be blue collar or tradesman for the future. They don't even know you're being trained.
Hope there’s some sort of freedom aswell of building roads ect and not just set in a specific location
But freedom aswell to build anywhere
Game is looking fantastic
I loved playing with Tonka trucks those things were indestructible
Around 7:50 you described everything you’d like in a game and that would be construction simulator.

Looks like a merge of Snowrunner and Construction Simulator. Which is good by me, I tell you.
