I am 62 years old, having problem of arthritis, severe backache so face difficulty in exercise or long walk. Secondly having enlarged prostate, causes frequent urination so avoid drinking more water. So in my case solutions to control blood sugar aggravate my problems i.e. arthritis & frequent urination. Please suggest.

My fasting BS remains in range of 140-150 and BS PP BFAST is at 180-190. But PP Lunch/Dinner is at 120-135. Unable to sort the rise of BS in morning. Am physically incapacitated, unable to walk ! Nothing new. I already do all these for years but no benifits in diabetes management. Diet only is the key factor to manage diabetes. Sharing my experience. 1) bhindi and other fibers - no major benifits. 2) badminton I play daily for an hour but this makes me more hungry which results in eating more and high blood sugar. However, if I walk after dinner if helps in maintaining my next day fasting sugar. 3) I already drink plenty of water no major benifits in diabetes. We should drink in moderation. 4) weight loss- I lose 14 kg, 72 from 86 but sugar pattern is same. It rises same time as soon as I cheat any of my controlled diet. 5) - methi pani - it helped me but it may or may not suit everyone. I face stomach problems as methi is hot in nature. 6) eating low sugar or low glycemic food and disciplined healthy lifestyle work for me only in diabetes management. Please don't be in misconception that if you are doing any of these so you will have liberty to eating your normal meals. You have to control your diet in any case.
