I can relate to this story to some extent. When I was younger, 5 or 6 at the time, I suddenly started getting a lot of severe nosebleeds. At first, my parents thought it was because of the sun. However, my nosebleeds were so bad that I would cough up a lot of blood. They also noticed I started getting a ton of bruises all over my body tthere that I never caused. I was a pretty calm kid, so it didn't make sense. My parents were really worried I had leukemia, especially since my dad's side of the family has a history of cancer. Eventually they took me to the doctors despite how expensive it was for them. They did a lot of tests for around 3 months, where I would get my blood drawn once a week. My parents were really stressed and feared what would happen if I did have leukemia. They were worried they wouldn't be able to pay for the treatment if I did have it. My doctor was so kind and generous, and when he heard my parents worries, he offered to pay for my treatment if my results came back positive for leukemia. Luckily, I didn't have leukemia and instead had way too many red blood cells in my body. No one knows why, but it might have to do because I was born premature at 6 months instead of 9. Anyways, this story felt relatable in some ways, so I felt like sharing my story. Take care everyone, sorry for the long story. 💜
